Just when those Left Coast Republicans thought they'd have a safe landing with the Libertarian Ticket, James Weeks, a candidate for party chairman, announced at the beginning of his five-minute candidate address that it was time for some "fun." He stripped down to a thong right there on the stage.

The reaction of the audience appeared amused until it was clear he was really going to take off his clothes. Gasps, boos, and shouts of disgust followed.

At the time the convention body was electing a vice-Presidential nominee, there was also a motion to eject Weeks from the convention. That motion was set aside to proceed with the nominating process.

The convention nominated Gary Johnson for President, and William Weld for Vice-President, each on the second ballot.

I'm just glad the stripping incident wasn't the Republicans and Reince Priebus...YET.

Twitter reacted as you might expect:

And that's not all the freewheeling crazy found there! Ladies and gentlemen, Vermin Supreme and Star Child!

Okay one more: make sure your volume is turned down a bit:
