Remember back in May when Fox News was wall-to-wall with this Romanian hacker named 'Guccifer' who claimed that he had hacked Hillary Clinton's e-mail server "multiple times" and it was "easy"? (This link goes to Fox News)
The infamous Romanian hacker known as “Guccifer,” speaking exclusively with Fox News, claimed he easily – and repeatedly – breached former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s personal email server in early 2013.
"For me, it was easy ... easy for me, for everybody," Marcel Lehel Lazar, who goes by the moniker "Guccifer," told Fox News from a Virginia jail where he is being held.
Guccifer’s potential role in the Clinton email investigation was first reported by Fox News last month. The hacker subsequently claimed he was able to access the server – and provided extensive details about how he did it and what he found – over the course of a half-hour jailhouse interview and a series of recorded phone calls with Fox News. ...The hacker spoke freely with Fox News from the detention center in Alexandria, Va., where he’s been held since his extradition to the U.S. on federal charges relating to other alleged cyber-crimes.
Okay, Fox News, we get it. HE WAS YOUR BOYFRIEND!
Except when your boyfriend was questioned by the, um, Federal Bureau of Investigation, he told a different story, as was revealed during Director Comey's testimony today:
REP FARENTHOLD: "Can you confirm that he [Guccifer] never gained access to her, Secretary Clinton's, server?
COMEY: Yeah, he admitted that was a lie.
Maybe Fox News can air a retraction once this business with the sexual harassment charges against their president are settled. And they apologize to Shirley Sherrod. Right after Hannity admits Dubya's WMD's aren't hidden in Syria after all.
Today is turning out to be as bad for House Republicans as Clinton's 11 hours of Benghazi testimony. They will rue the day they decided to hold this show trial of the FBI director, just because he didn't give them the result they wanted on the email investigation.
It couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of party-before-country traitors.
