Nothing wrong with you at all. I always maintain that it would be phenomenally boring if we were all the same. I'm thankful for my gay, lesbian and tg friends. My husband and I have two children and they know that it's healthy to be exactly what you are and not what others think you should.

Yesterday I moved the refrigerator.
My little buddy the KitchenToad was stuck.
He'd fled behind the refrigerator when I entered the kitchen a few nights back, but I figured if I left him alone he'd find his way out.
But late yesterday afternoon I heard some creature thrashing about behind the refrigerator. At first I thought it must be one of the big black snakes that come through my cabin looking for mice or young birds.
Flashlight in hand I smooshed my face against the back wall and peered behind the refrigerator. And there he was! Evidently too wide to turn around in the cramped space he'd spent the last coupla days trapped.
Carefully I tipped and turned the refrigerator so as not to inadvertently cruch the little guy. Then picked him up and carried him outside. Put him under the wild blueberry bush just outside the back door, then got a small glass of spring water and poured it over his back to help moisten his skin.
Last night he was back "on the job" sitting just inside the back door waiting to snap up any bugs attracted by the kitchen light.
I shoved a concrete block up against the back wall to block any future access behind the refrigerator.
Oh! and he's a great fly-catcher.
But I dunno if PETA would approve !!!

The black snakes are amazing creatures. I watched a seven footer scale the exterior wall - two stories - doubtless on its way to the bird's nests that occasionally appear under the roof line.
And one morning I heard this really LOUD chirping of a baby bird in distress. Too loud! So I went to investigate and found, coiled up in a coil of black plastic hose lying in the grass, one of these black snakes CHIRPING !!
And yes there's a small blueberry bush just outside the back door. The domestic bushes up in the orchard are just ripening (mmm!) .. had a half dozen berried yesterday. The wild bush will ripen in a month or so .. right around blackberry time!
Lucky me .. indeed.

I'm in awe that you already have berries on your bushes. Spring was really late here this year ... less than two weeks ago, it snowed and hailed all day long! *heavy sigh*

Other animals mimic their prey.
The Great Horned Owls make the blood curdling sound of a rabbit dying - apparently in the hopes of terrifying rabbits into scurrying about where it's easy to catch them.
And the Red Foxes do the same - mimicking the sounds of a dying rabbit.
Night time can be quite noisy out here!

Well .. at first I thought the same thing .. staring directly into the snake's mouth I kept trying to see the baby bird that had to be in there .. and then finally realized it was the snake making the chirps!!
I had no idea snakes made any sounds at all!
At my house, I've nearly stepped on two very amorous snakes...black racers...they froze and looked at me like "WTF you looking at perv?" Then they hauled ass still entwined...snakes are cool...
I'm pretty sure snakes make so sounds other than maybe a rattle snake and the sound comes from his rattles not his mouth.
I threatened cobra will hiss at you, quite a terrifying sound to hear in the wild.
I dunno if they can make more complex sounds, other than expelling air at high pressure through their mounts/nostrils.

walk or rather, climb, into the house last year...during the "winter" down here in the keys, alot of folks leave their doors open, and all kindsa critters can stop by...but this frog just made himself at home, just hangin there on the wall... eating bugs...I let him hang out for a few days, but I started thinkin maybe his skin would dry out...I recommend, if you have to catch a tree frog, or any kind of frog...make sure your hands are wet, preferably with non chlorinated water...dry hands will peel their protective slime layer right off.
Same goes for fish!
But likely, most of y'all won't have any fish crawling around in your house.

We have a little tree frog that hangs out by our front door at night, eating the bugs. I guess he lives in our mailbox, since one day I pulled out a letter and he was hanging onto it for dear life.
I was watching some thing about prehistoric life on Discovery or History Channel..and there were some frog/toad type animals waaaaay back, that were as big as volkswagens!
You don't have to wet your hands when you pick up a Cuban tree frog, because he's going to pee all over your hand and wet it for you.

Whatever happens, the powers that be were delivered a clear and unmistakable message: People power is a strong thing.
In Seoul, after 200,000 turned out to the streets in protest, the new president (whom I dislike0-- very right-wing, power-hungry, money-type), has been more cautious. He's now thinking twice before cramming things down the public's throat. S. Korea is also at odds; 'libs' vs 'dems'. Still lots of corruption here. Koreans are hot-headed and take to the streets. I like them for that.
Now they are doing rotating strike actions, and teachers and professors are protesting. The new president got a letter with 16,000 teacher's signatures this week, and one from the university professors last week: both protesting a move away from democracy.
Lots going on over here, and we have N. Korea, and the suicide of the ex-president, (suspect reports abound), and riot police action (but they're always around).

I don't trust Sestak anymore. He always was too wishy washy for my tastes anyway, but now it's getting too embarassing.

Anyone hear about the "man in the street" episode with Hannity where he was observed by police "frotting" a crowd member? There was a possibility of simple assault being charged but apparently the "FiX" was called in and he escaped to Frot another day. Now apparently this has been a problem of the 12 step variety that Hannity supposedly suffers(enjoys!) Frotting Hannity the Manatee!
