D-Cap has done a series of ten (!) photoshops in honor of Tom Delay's "Dancing with the Stars" gig.
Some of them may require brain bleach afterwards.
I wrote to D-Cap to give me a rundown of the personalities here in "Seven Brides for Seven Birthers" and he replied (L to R)
Tom and Babs
Newt and Malkin
Eric and Ann
Dicky Armey and Bachmann
Glenn and the Moose
Dick and his lovely daughter Mary.
Thanks to Tengrain for hipping me to this post.

Thanks for the Dave Lindorff link. I agree that O-bought-ma is the worst thing that could have happened to the Democratic Party.
The crazy's latest attack on Obama, is through his mother in law, they tried to smear and slander vilify Michelle and their two small kids, now its grandmas turn.
Wonkette is on the receiving end of the Townhall crazy talk about witchcraft in the White House.
Google cache as the original page was scrubbed.
Expect Faux to soon be stirring it up, and motivating/inciting the fundies afeared of non xtianity. This might be the straw that sends a few crazys way over the edge.
a Caribbean-practiced (chiefly Cuban) religion, despite its west African origin. Maybe the WH chef whipped them all up some paella and Cuban sandwiches afterward...
I'm an Atheist. They can worship the Great Pumpkin as far as I'm concerned as long as the get their heads out of their A$$ES and do their fracking jobs and clean this stupid mess up.
I like Wonkette a lot and found the letter to her pretty funny!!! Thanks.
no tale is too tall!
Photo shopped pics of the enemy are fucking stupid, contemptible, childish, meaningless, distracting, mindless, uncouth, irritating, insulting, BORING, infantile, regressive, sexist, homophobic, sometimes racist, and always...ALWAYS beneath the clear thinking and forward looking progressives that love and cherish this blog.
When the right wing piss and moan about the HATE coming from the left they only have to look at BULLSHIT like this and they are immediately transformed from the guilty into the victims.
They are not clever.
They are not entertaining.
They are not cute.
They are as old and played out as Richard Marx's hair or Howie Klein's anecdotes.
Get a fucking clue!
It's like some ADHD douchebag 12 year old at a family picnic making fart noises with his armpit.
And the best part, a self professed CHRISTIAN continues to post this crap night after night.
you're free to leave at any time!! Buh-bye.
My sentiments exactly...........I'm sure there are at least 10 thousand other blogs one could visit...........some of us need the comedy now and then to keep us sane from all the insanity that daily surrounds us. Thanks Bluegal for the laugh!!
bluegal, thanks for posting this. I enjoyed it very much!
It is nice to see a little humor now and then.......all this other negative news starts getting to be a little depressing after awhile.......or maybe it's just my age.
Yep, I always appreciate a good laugh!
When I read Babs, I thought that it would be Babs from Animal House. Universal Studios-ask for Babs.
It's not funny. If it were funny I might agree.
They are not clever.
They are not entertaining.
They are not cute.
They are as old and played out as Richard Marx's hair or Howie Klein's anecdotes.
They are not funny or clever to you. You are not the arbiter of humor, if this got you so wound up I'm guessing humor is scarce for you.
You get to have an opinion and everyone here gets it, but if it's so offensive then perhaps you should not click on it night after night and upset yourself so. If you want to be the thought police you're probably in the wrong place.
That's what rednecks say when you disagree with them. Love it or leave it. Real strong response. You are good consumer!
Where's the hatred in the post? I'm just seeing jest.
And you're going way overboard, imo, with "contemptible", and you're drifting further away from the SS Sanity with each following adjective. It would be one thing if the pic wasn't so obviously photoshopped, as if bluegal was trying to pull the wool over someone's eyes, but just in case it wasn't obvious to anyone, bluegal leads off the post with:
And what's really kinda ironic about your rant is that the subject is so vague that you could ask a hundred conservatives to caption it and they'd all be able to do so with words supportive of those in the picture.
I'd suggest that the next time you get so worked up over such a mundane thing as this, you get up and take a walk, drink a beer or smoke a joint.
As a fan of musicals I thought if was funny, I can think of lots of ways to make the photo really hateful this is quite clean.
We aren't spewing nearly ENOUGH hatred at these people, in my opinion. One of the common mistakes the left always makes is that we want everybody to "just get along". News flash everybody: our opponents have no intention of "getting along" with us and we had all just better get used to that fact. Or die.
That's the ticket. Hate!!
Needs a paradigm shift away from being primarily the party of nice to the party of the people, whether that means being nice or not.
Since we are all voting.
As an advocate of gravitas, the photoshop political trade is generally puerile.
I scoff at the right when they do it, I scoff at the center when they do it.
I would scoff at the left if I found them doing it, if you take my drift.
I am not nearly as stirred up about it as jhunter99844.
I just ignore it, like much of the froth.
But sometimes ya gotta lighten things up. Open threads, the music club, the occasional sports and entertainment threads help build a sense of community by allowing us to let our hair down and get to know each other a little better.
The politicians are just the front people for the Owners.
We are running out of time on this earth, the ecological hour grows very late.
I despair.
Here's a few of the follow up articles.

Here, read this. Not Good.
And I doubt it's much better in saltwater.
I've been here linking to Daniel Quinn's site for years.
Look, it's not just a matter of stating something bluntly and throwing the link out there, it's getting people to want to check out your links. It's about building relationships with people around you so they'll think, "Hmmm, I've got a lot in common with Alice X [or Andy K, or ysbaddaden...whoever], and I've been interested in and or/enjoyed what they've linked in the past...Maybe I should check this out." People tend to trust their friends more than they trust strangers.
And ya never know what's going to coax the great thought from someone's brain. You can link to Chomsky and Nader as much as you'd like, but at some point people are going to tune it out. Give the brain a rest and it might wake up and find new paths of thought. Ben Franklin wasn't all serious thought all the time, ya know. Dude wrote "Fart Proudly"...and visited the Hellfire Club from time to time.
Just sayin'....
and my thoughts also.
lose many with the doom and gloom. We all get it, we don't need to be lectured, not this group. Levity is not bad, levity is not necessarily puerile - attempting to coerce everyone to your every opinion, concern, and philosophy on the other hand.....
I didn't say levity was bad, per se, I said the 'political photoshop trade is generally puerile', I will stick with that, I would appreciate greater continuity of the words you criticize if you are going to offer a critique.
And, of what coercion do you speak, oh grasshopper?
I provide numerous links from voluminous searching, click per your own interest.
Or not!!!!
My 5-6 hours a day of reading is for my own edification, the links are for organization, I get nothing from it. I can offer the links here or there or nowhere.
Come to think of it, I do have better things to do.
still doing it. You are still lecturing.
I've enjoyed your links and appreciate your time, but
please, please, please, stop with the talking down.
.
wow, I'm hoping you are only doing an imitation of a douchebag, and that isn't really you, because if it is, just let me send my condolences to your family -- and of course to your friends -- that is if you still have any.
Judgmental much?
PS LMAO at both the image and you BTW :D
Is there any satanic connection involving Adobe which I am not aware of?
I can't download Adobe reader 9 version on this computor wirhout upgrading another program that I bought and installed on my other compitors.
who would jesus photoshop?

Judas?
Brilliant Idea for Jesus! I'm thinking Judas's head on the body of a goat!!! Teh Awesome!
that Jesus doesn't like it when you make fun of people or crack jokes or have a sense of humor.
They ARE funny, clever AND cute!
"Seven Brides for Seven Birthers"? Gold!
On the other hand, spittle - flecked rants by "fucking"
"bullshit" "douchebags" are "contemptible".
So the Wrong Wing can dish out bullshit but can't take it?
Fuck that!
I wonder with which TV Dancing Celebrity show Jesus would sign a contract. After being indicted for campaign finance fraud.
Anyone who goes after my religion at this site clearly thinks it will help their argument because they perceive C&L commenters to be intolerant towards anyone with Christian leanings. That is not the case.
I'm a dirty hippie mean-photoshopping Quaker, and I've always found lots of support and tolerance at this site and the rest of Left Blogsylvania. I don't ever try to convert anyone because the God I worship loves atheists as much as everyone else. Not to mention those incredibly clever Flying Spaghetti Monster folks. I think God puts them at the front tables of the divine cocktail party because they're so funny and smart.
second that, but I think that God loves drag queens the most, no party is a party without them.
If we don't have tolerance within our own ranks we have nothing. I'm with you, blue. I'm a Methodist, it works for me. I could never explain my complete spirituality, it's too complicated and odd. Suffice it to say that I find God in the most interesting places. I always hope that we can tolerate each others' differences because I truly believe it would be boring as hell if we were all exactly the same. What I think is what I know and what works for me. I understand if it doesn't work for anyone else and that's fine, they are not dumber than me, they are not evil, they will not receive scorn from me and I will give it my all to respect whatever they do or don't believe and work to protect their right to believe it, or not.
no party is a party without them." ... LOL!

Is its legal to illegally censor legal mention of illegal torture practices !?

The Company, dress up a spook as a liberal and put him into the Oval Office? Nahhhh, they wouldn't do THAT...
He hands the banks a blank check and waffles on health care... Just a coincidence, don't be a conspiracy monger...
Assuming they haven't forgiven or forgotten the Plame affair.
No it couldn't really be happening... the endless procession of prominent Repugs being exposed to the MSM and the public, as the slime they are.
Exposed, but not prosecuted, not punished for their 'crimes' just rewarded. But, But, but, but the crazies will still 'vote' for them, and they will still be traitors unprosecuted.

Well, they wouldn't want their buddies to have to actually cover their own bets, would they? Crony Capitalism at its finest!
Not kidding. The person who books the "talent" at ABC's "Dancing With The STARS(?!)" should be fired and ABC should apologize for even suggesting that this mean, drunk, texas asshole, this fucking felon, is a "star." This sorry assed, mean son of a bitch was bush's enforcer in the House who bullied and cajoled his colleagues as if he owned the place, and threw all of his weight behind the subterfuge of WMD in Iraq, which, to my way of thinking, makes him nothing short of a murdering bastard. He should be in jail, though I doubt he ever will be. But the last place I want to see this murdering fuck is on teevee. Dancing.
I know is just a stupid show, but it's the principle that bothers me. If this is acceptable to us, then America can go fuck itself.
I can guarantee that I won't be watching his ass dancing anywhere unless it's at the end of a rope. The filthy bastard doesn't deserve the tee vee time they are giving him.
If it's sensationalism the producers at ABC want, maybe they should see if they can book charles manson.
I diddn't even know what channel it was going to be on until you mentioned it. That's how interested i am.
Seems to me in the '80's or early '90's one of the networks- and I do think it was ABC- interviewed old Charlie.
maybe they should dig up ed gein's corpse, put a skin mask on it, and have somebody dance with it on stage.
But what was Ed Gein's favorite type of dessert snack?
:/
It was Geraldo who interviewd Manson. Don't know if he was at ABC at the time pretending to be reporter...or if it was some other faux news show. He drags out clips every chance he gets.
Who is the clear winner, Tom or Charlie !?
Hands down.
He should be in prison, not on some teevee show. Outrageous!
Tom Delay dancing in the prison ballroom with Charlie Manson...
I'd love to see that!
What really baffles me is that some airhead at ABC thought this would be cute. That reprobate prime minister of Italy dancing with the stars might be cute. Ratzinger dancing with the stars might be cute. Hugo Chavez. And I still like the idea of Ed Gein's corpse. But De Lay? That's obscene, not cute. Please send complimentary tickets to my cousin, ABC. Her son was killed in Iraq in 2005.
It is disgraceful, and ABC should be ashamed of themselves.
My condolences on the loss of your cousin's son.
I'd even do 'pay per view' for that, something I've never done before.
ungoawdly price they arbitrarily make up...the dance would only last 30 seconds, and DeLay would end up gettin cornholed in the end.
why don't you tell us how you REALLY feel! HeHeHe (I agree!)
"bullied and cajoled his colleagues as if he owned the place". Isn't that what Lyndon Johnson used to do, too? Hey, maybe one day Delay can be president too! /sn
Yeah, but Johnson actually managed to get some really good things done. Civil Rights Act, 1964, College loans so more kids could go to school (before the banks used them to gouge students), Ladybirds' HighWay Beautification (people don't remember what highways looked like before that, couldn't see anything but billboards up close, no other view on some highways).
I know, there's Vietnam, as well. But for that colossal failure he would be remembered as a great president who actually cared about people who weren't obscenely wealthy.

president obama and his administration inherited a very diificult unemployment/foreclosure scenario. i believe it's time for obama to be more forceful with the banks/financial institutions. i suppose the argument would/could be that there's more correction needed.
that the banks were buying up their own foreclosures to keep the assets on their books.
so they can avoid acknowledging having taken a loss.
Free market?
Suckers.
He ended up adding more money to the TARP bailout fund.
Since Obama's definition of "change" and "forceful" seem to be rather diverging with mine, I rather he just be more "conservative and soft." (I am trying to play the "opposite" game here, maybe then we get the change we need?)
Obama is proving himself to be a Corporatist in Liberal's clothing Tyler, just like Clinton was.
He'll give the banks a carte blanche to create hyperinflation, and we get absolute shit. Single payer is only 100b a year, MUCH LESS than what we just gave the stupid zombie banks.
... I think most people here were aware that he was a rational moderate. Which seemed like quite the upgrade after the 8 years of Bush.
But I expected a slow, gradual sell-out so he could at least LOOK like he had been gradually compromised by exposure to Washington. This did surprise me, his jumping feet-first into mind-numbing Evil like this.
i have to agree. but it seems some have bought into the obama "walks on water" framing so to expect him to do what would be somewhat similiar to a miracle, if you will. the BUSH legacy is an overwhelming challenge for any president. many issues/crisises were established. in addition to that we have a defensive posture from the right with a we want him to"fail" strategy inorder to re-establish an identity. some of these issues are much larger than obama. the recession is a global recession that cascades down to subregions of the u.s. it's complicated and requires time not many have.
attention to you but, now you are starting to quote rumors about the costs. Most of the costs are less than what people are paying now.
And 100b comes right from Rep DeFazio at the town hall meeting I just taped.
And believe me, 100 billion a year is NOTHING, I repeat NOTHING, next to Defense or anything else, NOTHING in comparison to what we just gave Wall Street free of charge.
Aren't we worth a MEASLY 100 billion a year? And isn't that better spent on US than on keeping zombie banks on life support? I rest my case.
Remember: Trillion is the new Billion. 100b is NOTHING in this climate.
have been paying attention, the latest estimates are about 800-900 billion over ten years but the saving over what people are paying now could even more. If things stay the same insurance companies will make trillions. Forget what you see in the stoopid librul media.
than 100b a year, let's say 800b divided by 10 years is 80b a year. Close to what I quoted, and STILL a mere pittance compared to the twelve trillion currently sitting on the Fed's balance sheet due to "Quantitative Easing", another name for Mugabe-like debt monetization.
Anyone who thinks that money will EVER leave the Fed's balance sheets is fooling themselves. WE will have to cover Wall Street's bad bets.
I hope everyone likes the idea of paying for bread with cartons full of Zimdollars.

it's no big deal but i get a chuckle when this gent makes sure the audience knows he's a NRA member. that's kool i just don't give a flyin fxxk. this video is a rough idea of how obama wants to pay for health care program. what's somewhat difficult to grasp is the money saved from the system.
We enter a healthcare reform debate, and we leave with the right to bear arms next to the president.
and instead of outright condenming it, they ask gun right activest what their opinions are. Stoopid librul media.
by this administration:
We asked for an aggressive New Deal-like programme, and we got the neutered compromise which even included... you guessed it: almost every single thing the GOP requested, esp tax cuts.
We asked for an end to the wars, instead we got an escalation of Afghanistan and the continuation of the Iraq quagmire that the GOP is so adamant in continuing.
We are asking for a health care reform. Instead we don't even have a neutered public option in the table... but the only ones getting anything out of this... are the nutjobs who want to parade their guns even right next to the president.
If this is the change we could believe in, excuse me but... it seems this "change" really means: give the wingnuts whatever it is they want. Heck, in fact the best thing that ever could have happened to the GOP is losing the election: they now get to have exactly what they were getting away with (and then some) during the past 8 years, but they also get to blame the disaster that their "wants" imply on the Democrats. It is like a win-win: all the benefits, with none of the responsibility.
Is this it? Am I missing something? Is Mr. Obama laughing at my f*cking face? Or is this some kind of double secret strategy to put the GOP exactly where he wants them? (although there is the possibility that where he wants them is in a pedestal).
What the f*ck is going on over here?
Somebody has to play the straight man in this mess, O is the perfect one.
He'll play it even as the Pukes keep swirling the flushing toilet that is the party of no.
They're toast
Why don't the guns & posers organize a 'right to bear arms' party?
Why crash someone elses party.
Or were they in the same hole they were in back in Dallas in '63? lol!

Obama: GOP conspiracy out to kill health reform
By Joseph Curl
Originally published 02:07 p.m., August 20, 2009, updated 07:05 p.m., August 20, 2009
President Obama took to the conservative airwaves Thursday to charge that Republican leaders are engaged in a vast right-wing conspiracy to kill health care reform in order to repeat the 1994 mid-term takeover of Congress, which followed the defeat of President Clinton's reform plan.
"I think early on, a decision was made by the Republican leadership that said, 'Look, let's not give him a victory, maybe we can have a replay of 1993, '94, when Clinton came in, he failed on health care and then we won in the mid-term elections and we got the majority. And I think there are some folks who are taking a page out that playbook," the president said.
Appearing on the Michael Smerconish radio show, Mr. Obama said he would "love to have more Republicans engaged and involved in this process," but he vowed to win the battle, with or without support from the minority party in Congress.
"I guarantee you, Joe, we are going to get health care reform done," he said to one caller. "I know there are a lot of people out there who've been handwringing, and folks in the press are following every little twist and turn of the legislative process, but having a big bill like this is always messy."

Jay: Yeah, there's also a Musashi anime just released from the director of Ghost in the Shell. The Vagabond author's also got two basketball manga currently published in the U.S.: Real and Slam Dunk. As for Asian-phile stuff, you might want to consider Crayon Shin Chan, Millennium Actress, Ponyo, Kamikaze Girls, Nerima Daikon Bros., Happy Together, Chungking Express, Beautiful Boxer, Thirst, Dororo, and Sleepy Eyes of Death.
Anyway, was the Blackwater/CIA collaboration another excuse to bilk taxpayers? "Mission accomplished", Afghan voter style. Prop. 8 returns to trial in January, but Arnie's too much of a girly man to take sides. A GOP Senator wants to impech Sanford, which is ironic. Speaking of pants-down Republicans, Ensign lies about the legality of his affair, even though he's potentially liable for sexual harassment and wrongful termination. Prisoners are trained to grow crops for food banks, due to unusually high demand, for some reason. End-of-life counseling encourages patients to embrace life. Wastewater is mucking up our e_groundwater_contamination">wells. Unlike Bush, Obama actually wants people who blow up planes to be held accountable. AIG manages to cough up $7 million for its new CEO. Cali lawmakers steal from the poor and give themselves pay-raises. R.I.P. Reader's Digest.
Wow Tequila, I can see the guy who did Ghost in the Shell really doing justice to some Musashi stories! That would be nothing short of an amazing animated Samurai gore-fest! I had no idea your interests were so... diverse.
What amazes me about the Republicans is how INCREDIBLY disingenuous they are. They stand for limited government, yet they always EXPAND government. Fiscal responsibility, yet they always break the bank. Personal freedom, yet they won't stay out of our bedrooms or off our bodies. You'd think being bisexual was worse than being a murderer.
Speaking of which, sadness:
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/us_world/2009...
Jenkins CUT OFF HER FINGERS AND REMOVED HER TEETH. If you can't deal with a bisexual dancer's lifestyle, THEN WHY MARRY ONE?!? There are PLENTY of us out here who PREFER those kinds of women, why couldn't this fool marry some GOP clone so he wouldn't run into this problem? Sheesh... it really does make me sad, though. And the Republicans ENCOURAGE this kind of crap...
Just producing.
This Bush-Cheney-CIA-Blackwater thing is insane. You got to investigate this now baby! Sorry DOJ, but you gotta do your job. Even when it sucks. especially if it sucks. I sympathize though. Just remember how proud we all will be of the DOJ when you are finished with them!
Go Go DOJ! May the wind be behind your sails.
Speaking of insanity, I love that John Yoo is allowed to be a professor, and Rove is allowed to be a spokesperson; but lawyers for the detainees are the ones being investigated by the DOJ for possibly compromising the identity of CIA agents. Who cares if they were torturing or aiding and abetting torture? A spook has a right to be a spook. Does AT&T hate seniors? Cali Assembly lawmakers weren't enamored with some of Arnie's more fascist prisoner money-saving ideas. And the Repugs were going to reduce sentences of people who damage property, since possessing weed is a lot more threatening to the public, I'm sure.
It would take sulfonic acid to remove that bunch of putrid crap!
republicanism is a mental illness!

Iraq and Afghanistan War Vets Denounce ‘Energy Citizens’ Campaign As “Oil Dependence Tour” - http://www.desmogblog.com/veterans-iraq-and-a...
A group of roughly one hundred Operation Free veterans plans to visit Washington on September 9-10 for a day of action and meetings with Congress to relay the national security imperative of addressing climate change. Veterans are also working within their local communities on what Powers described as “a real grassroots effort.”
He said that many veterans “continue to protect America when we get out of the service,” and that the group’s work to raise support for action on climate change is “another form of strengthening America.”
“We don’t have the money that Big Oil does to bus people around. This is a genuine grassroots effort,” said Powers.

Plastic in Oceans Leaches Chemicals - http://www.enn.com/top_stories/article/40363
Amidst waves and wildlife in the world's oceans, billions of pounds of polystyrene, water bottles, fishing wire and other plastic products float in endless circles.
This bobbing pollution is more than just an eyesore or a choking hazard for birds. According to a new study, plastic in the oceans can decompose in as little as a year, leaching chemical compounds into the water that may harm the health of animals and possibly even people.

MUST READ: Changing the Corporation - http://www.commondreams.org/view/2009/08/20-5
The corporation is no more than an aggregation of capital managed for the proportional benefit of those who supply it. It is a system controlled by managers, administrators and clerks largely for the benefit of passive investors looking for a higher return than they can earn elsewhere. It makes no sense that government should provide the very wealthy with a tool that poses a continuous threat to the public interest. Government's job is to protect the public interest, not sponsor those that destroy it.

Violence and the threat of violence have always been used by those who wanted to bypass democratic procedures and the rule of law. Lynching was the act of those who refused to let the legal system do its work. Guns were used on election days in the Deep South during and after Reconstruction to intimidate black voters and take control of state governments.
Yes, I have raised the racial issue, and it is profoundly troubling that firearms should begin to appear with some frequency at a president's public events only now, when the president is black. Race is not the only thing at stake here, and I have no knowledge of the personal motivations of those carrying the weapons. But our country has a tortured history on these questions, and we need to be honest about it. Those with the guns should know what memories they are stirring.
Video: Obama stands by belief in public option - http://politicalnewslive.blogspot.com/2009/08...
President Barack Obama is standing his position that a public option for health insurance coverage should be considered as part of legislation to overhaul the health care system.
Sixty House Democrats are standing strong for real health care reform—refusing to vote for any bill that doesn't have a robust public option. But they're under intense pressure to back down, so they need to know we're standing with them. Can you chip in to show we've got their backs?

Trying to talk to people who are conservative is like a full time job. Someone began to start a debate with me on facebook about the HC reform. She raised questions/concerns similar to those that have been spewed forth by the right wing. I told her the truths, backed it up w/sections in the bill, but she was still not convinced. She showed me this link as her idea of HC reform:
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000142405297...
I told her that's a decent idea, but it works only for that particular company & cannot be brought out to the masses, especially those employers that can't afford HC coverage for their workers. The problem will get worse if we just throw money at it & don't reform.
After all her gripes were exhausted, she turned angry on me. Socialist policy, gov't run HC blah blah blah. I told her that it would be socialist only if the gov't had full control over HC which the bill does NOT do. Then she drops the hammer:
too radical, too much $, too much change.
I told her that Obama campaigned on change & you voted for him...why all of a sudden you don't want it? People are so afraid of change it's ridiculous. Keep the status quo & we're going to be spending $7 trillion by 2018 when under this plan we'd be spending $1 trillion by the same period. Instead of asking the question, 'how are we going to pay for this?' I told her she should ask 'what happens if we DON'T pay for this?'
Sorry for the rant, but it's just frustrating to talk to people sometimes, even rational ones like this person, when they don't have facts & are afraid of the real reform we need so desperately in this country.
to everyone, including the site moderators for not axeing my off-topic request last night.
For anyone interested, I spent 2 hours on the phone with USCIS today and was told that if you wish to complain about the service of USCIS, you must only do it in writing. Then, if USCIS determines that your beef with USCIS over USCIS' poor customer service is warranted, USCIS will be in contact with you. There is no one you can actually talk to and they "cannot" (a 2nd level customer service supervisor told me 8 times what she "cannot" do; the most heinous of customer service infractions) transfer you to a higher authority.
In other words, STFU. We'll tell you what we're doing with your $1500+ to get a green card when and if we want to.
I will continue to search for the new USCIS director, Alejandro Mayorkas' email address to take this issue up with him. And if anyone can help in that regard, I would be eternally grateful.
I wonder if he'll tell me how sorry he is but there is nothing he can do to help as well. He's only the freaking director. Obviously his hands are tied. ;-)
you should get in touch with your local (NOT DC) congressional office. A 20 year old intern will help you, but they'll return your call, and they also might have access to higher ups in immigration. I am certain they handle this kind of stuff all the time.
The only reason I returned to this thread is to copy and paste my first paragraph to send it to my Congressman.
But thank you. If you your travels ever take you south of Fort Knox, please let me know. My wife will cook you and yours up a Japanese dinner that you absolutely will NOT find anywhere in the central part of the country.
I know KY seems a bit intimidating to us "lefties" but I live in a nice blue bubble inside this red state. Life is good and you, for all you do, deserve some of the best sukiyaki and an-pan you have ever had.
We'll keep the light on for you!
I'm in southern Illinois so you'd better keep the light on you never know! :)
in my own home? It would be an honor I would cherish always. Seriously.
