Indeed, Beck believes most conservatives voted for John McCain in the hopes that he would soon die:
I mean, I have to tell you if I heard once, I heard 1,000 times from people, and I never said this, never said this on the air because you just don't say these things, but I heard a million times from people, "I'm going to vote for John McCain and, you know, I mean, he's old. Maybe we get Sarah Palin in the first term." You know what I mean?
Of course, you could occasionally find wingnuts saying such things in public during the campaign, but now that I guess the election is over, the lid is off and the bats are flying out of the belfry.

I guess I'm old fashioned but its always been my impression that a political party usually allows its best, brightest and most capable to rise to the top. You know, like how a fine cream or sauce rises to the top on a dish or beverage. I guess the Republicans got that backwards. They seem to have hoped that the best they had would kick the bucket so that the dumbest and most imcompetent could rise to the top like a turd in a toilet.

After the years of abuse we have gone through, we certainly deserve that right. And it feels great to get their poison out of our systems and talk about it at the same time.

This election was a mandate as much about desiring a new type of president as it was a mandate discrediting and rejecting the radical ideology of the right wingnut fringe.
If the GOP is to survive, it needs to immediately distance itself from this gang of wingnuts who showed their darker demons at the Palin hate rallies.

I live in TN and people are so stupid the go against their own interest. I am a social democrat. I believe that government should help its citizens. I tell the idiots what do you think of social security? Medicare these are programs that help our citizens. The churchs haven't helped the people like they should. You have to share their way. No there is nothing wrong with government helping its citizens. They have given Welfare to the corporation for a while.
My soon to be ex-son-in-law, a libertarian, once told me that the government could get rid of all the assitance programs in the U.S., i.e. Medicare, Social Security, Welfare, Jobs Programs, Student Aid, all of them and that private indivuals would take up the slack. I asked him how much we could put him down for, and he just stared at me. He was really thinking of all those OTHER people who would pitch in and help the sick, the old and the indigent.

I remember seeing a clip on youtube where 2 young ladies from AK were interviewed. They said anyone could be a governor of their state. The bar is so low. Palin is proof. At least women across the country know the difference between a pit bull with lipstick and a really intelligent woman. Palin meet a real woman Hillary Clinton who has worked her way to the top and ran a campaign who show how smart she was. I didn't vote for her in the primary. I didn't vote for Obama in the primary. I voted for Biden. Now am happy because people finally decided they wanted someone intelligent as president and not another empty suit like Bush and Palin or McCain.

I love my sister but she has her own business and is a republican. She wasn't happy. She said I was angry and had venom. I wrote her back because she made a terrible remark about Obama that surprised me because our parents never raised us to talk the way she did. She has a college degree and I only have a high school degree. We helped her get where she is at today. At any rate I got mad at her and said now you know how a lot of us feel for the last 8 yrs. We feel we need a tax break. My husband and I don't have children. We are almost at a point of not speaking anymore. I love her but I can't stand her being a republican. We come from a long line of democrats and military way of life. We have come to a truce sorta of.
It sure seems like a lot longer than 3 months since I quit Erickson's RedState in disgust after the FSR Georgia conflict. Going by Erick's comments, it seems they're all going off the deep end. I haven't really cared to go look for myself.
I was watching the Daily Show where they had the reporter from their show in Hillbilly town of Wallisa. They were interviewing customers in a bar. I was struck by one guy how gun ho he was for Palin and was hoping McCain wins. The reporter sorta joke about McCain deaths and would make her president. He had a smile on his face that kinda a showed he was hoping for that. Although he didn't say it. But the reporter was pushing it. He started laughing. I can't believe the republicans still don't seem to get it. This morning on CNN I was watching an interview with Norquist and Tony ? from Family Values and they still think the reason they lost was because they weren't conservative enough. They are going to try to unite the Reagan group that got them in the white house. But as long as they keep moving far to the right with the religious groups they will be out of power for a long time. People want to stay in the center. As a democrat I hope that our party learns that too or we will lose. Don't overreach on either side. We want our representatives to do their jobs.
