Watching President Obama make the traditional Thanksgiving Day turkey pardon today, I couldn't help thinking ... what if?
What if the wingnuts' wildest fantasies come true, and they ride back into the White House on the wave of right-wing populism now sweeping them? What would this day look like then?
And then I realized, of course, that we already had the answer.
So I made a little mashup fantasy of the view from Planet Wingnuttia. Enjoy. And Happy Thanksgiving.
there will be no pardon. sara likes the death penalty for animals, especially when delivered from a helicopter via scoped, high-powered rifle.

I saw part of Palin's "interview" with Hannity last night. It occured to me that she sees Obama's tolerance and inclusion of views other than his own as "palling (sp?) around with terrorists," while she will not associate with anyone who differs from her.
I am thankful for this man we elected. He also pals around with Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, foreign leaders, military leaders and ordinary citizens from all walks of life. He even pals around with the homeless. Are they also terrorists? I am so sick of that word.
After the 8 year nightmare that was George Bush, we are truly blessed to have a smart, level-headed man who appreciates diversity. He is not nearly Liberal enough for my taste, but infinitely better than McCain/Palin. She is a really mean-spirited person.
I remember reading a story about Queen Victoria resting in a lawn chair after touring a garden, having either a spot of tea and lady fingers, or a sour mash and a chew, when a goose came running around the corner of the house with a cleaver wielding chef in hot pursuit.
The goose laid its head into Queen Vicky's lap, and she decided it was asking to be spared so she spared its life from that point on.
For the rest of his life he was kept at Crown Expense, which probably cost taxpayer John Bull a lot of crowns.
