Limbaugh says this garbage every day: People like Giusti are "mad" and "worked up" because they are "being raped" by their government. And we get stories like this...

You see, it's spreading like wildfire.

A man accused of dropping more than 30 explosive devices into mailboxes and other locations across east Texas did so out of anger toward the government and was acting alone, federal authorities said Thursday.

Larry Eugene North was indicted Wednesday on charges of possessing an illegal firearm or destructive device. He could face 10 years in prison if convicted.

Authorities believe North is responsible for planting 36 devices between Feb. 5 and Wednesday, said Robert R. Champion, an agent with the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Authorities previously said they had found at least 16 explosive devices, including five pipe bombs.

"These devices, over 30 in number, have caused fear in this community nothing short of domestic terrorism," prosecutor Brit Featherston said. "Today that fear stops."

North had been under surveillance for about a week before he was arrested Wednesday while placing an explosive in a Tyler mailbox, authorities said. A pipe bomb was found in the van he was driving and bomb-making materials were discovered in his home, they said.

FOX News has unleashed a monster on our society no matter how dumb Murdoch plays it. We live in a hugely populated country and the kooks are drawn to Fox. David and I have made the case over and over again that right wing talkers need to take more responsibility in how they go about their business. No matter how much they deny it, we're seeing the evidence every day of the violence that is spreading throughout the country.

Digby writes:

Imagine if he were Muslim...

Update: He is disabled and in a wheel chair. No word on whether or not he received disability from the despised federal government, but it's fairly likely. He also has some emotional problems, according to his lawyer, and is going to be given a mental evaluation to determine whether or not he can help with his own defense.

I'm not surprised that mentally unstable people are trying to blow things ups. They've always been around. It's just that right now, all they have to do is turn on Fox or the radio to hear a whole lot of angry voices egging them on, so it's becoming more common.

The Washington Post reports: Anger over health-care reform spurs rise in threats against Congress members

It's also good to see the MSM start reporting on the violence that is being spurred on by the anti-government crowd. We're seeing more heated anger boil over after the HCR debate and Fox has done their part, but it was simmering a long time before that, since the Limbaughs used it to really get the right inflamed. Now they are starting to act out on their hatred.

Well duh, he's a Republican. Isn't that redundant?

we have more evidence that you are a marsupial than we have of this guy's political affiliations, if any.

He may be the Republican County Chair in Henderson, Tx. for all I know.
But there is no evidence offered here to that effect. He may not even be registered to vote.

Update: As it turns out, this guy was pissed over some financial shenanigans in the S&L scandal. See posts at the end from myself and Q.

The problem is why are people like Rush , Beck and so called news organizations like Fox allowed to be on the air preaching their hate , lies , deceit & attack messages against democrats 24/7.

WBAL (Channel 11 Baltimore station) a television station in Baltimore Md.. Sponsors a right wing republican talk show 24/7 for many years now.. If fact Rush was on this station before he moved..

WBAL has now put this same republican right wing talk show on cable television 24/7 now..

They have republicans like Ehrlich on their station a lot of times. And now in his bid to rerun and be elected for governor O'Malley>>

They are trying to blame O'Malley for the economy disaster created by the Bush/Cheney republican administration..

They never published the lies , deceit and corruption which Ehrlich or Steele created in their previous run against Governor O'Malley.. This pair even bus people in from other states to pass out pamphlets in democratic districts saying that Ehrlich and steele were democrats... Ehrlich/Steele even refused to pay these out of state people which they had hired..

These corporate republicans OWN the airways and are growing in numbers each day..

Why do democrats watch or listen to the extremist right wing talk or television shows..

Dear Ruch,
So the F-E-A-R of being "raped" by the Government is enough to justify violence?

REALLY?

This is what you're defending. The F-E-A-R! The R-E-A-C-T-I-O-N-A-R-Y!

And you Sir, encite it.

Isn't it against the law to encite violence?

no matter how much Fox television and web tries to now use their Rove technique of diluting the issue by focusing their editorial lens on false equivalency "well they did it also stories", the facts continue to build:

The name "Fox" is being linked to KNOWN published reports of violence perpetrated on others.

My bet is that if the public had access to the investigators's notes on OTHER recent political/government related violence, the list connecting Fox/tea party violence will continue to grow. The press should ask Mr. Colburn what facts he has seen from those who protect the nations politicians.

As an example, Fox Nation is a "legal document" in the making tying corporate Fox media's activist role in hate/violence breeding ground.

The paint for the broadstroke brush against Fox is not being supplied by others, the employees at Fox need only to look internally to find the spigot.

Hannity, Beck, O'Reilly ,Limbaugh are always on each other's shows. A right out in front collaboration/conspiracy taking place, and these guys, and their babes Palin, Malkin, etc. should be charged at the appropriate time, which might be soon.

All sane people I know who use to be republican say they never, ever, in their entire lives, felt the boot heel of big government on the back of their necks until Bush/Cheney and the fascist GOP took over!

Something else is clearly bothering these loons, and we know what it is.

I hate to tell ya' this John, but asking the miscreants and liars at Fox and Clearchannel to take responsibility for this garbage is never going to happen. This is exactly what they want.

They know tax cuts for the rich and trickle down conservatism fascism are dying, just like the old fart Murdoch. They are just trying to stop the inevitable long enough to steal another trillion or two before they croak.

If a few hundred morons and psycho's commit mass murder, well......., this is warfare, cla$$ warfare, and everyone knows there is always collateral damage in warfare.

I really hate these scumbags, and the politicians (supposed democrats) who allow it to continue.

I live in Tyler, TX. Rusk County, where he lived, is next to us. Some of his devices were placed within miles of my house.
Glad they caught him.

Here's the latest from the Tyler paper...
http://www.tylerpaper.com/article/20100409/NE...

From the Tyler paper:

"Larry G. North grew up in Rusk County and was called an "average Joe" by those who have known him for years. But some said North's life changed when an industrial accident left him paralyzed from the waist down.

North won a large settlement after the accident and placed a large portion of the money into the now-defunct General Savings Association in Henderson, officials said.

The president of the association, Mark Hale, was convicted of savings and loan fraud along with several partners in a land developing scheme that defrauded the bank of millions of dollars.

In a Tyler Morning Telegraph story from July 11, 1991, it was reported Hale was sentenced to a three-year prison term for his involvement in the scheme and was given a light sentence because he assisted in the investigation.

North was left to fight the loss of his settlement through lawsuits but never recovered the money from the bank. Sources close to the investigation said despite North losing the money, he still owed IRS taxes."

All the earmarks of FOX aroused anger.

North lost about half a million dollars of the money when a local business investment failed, authorities estimated."

As the violence steps up, some of the leading teabags and hags might step in some shit. For instance, two days after a man in Tennessee had his car rammed by a guy in an SUV because of an Obama sticker, Sarah Palin told a gathering of teabaggers they should pull over anyone they see with an Obama sticker on their car and ask "how's that hope and change workin' out for ya." Two days after someone tried to kill a guy over an Obama sticker she said that! That's how wreckless people like Palin, Bachmann, Beck, and Limbaugh are being. Wreckless people do eventually step in shit and wind up at least in civil court. Someday -- probably not too long from now -- one of these assholes is going to make a not so veiled suggestion to their audience that is going to get someone killed, and I hope the victim's family will sue. And I hope one lawsuit will lead to twenty, and twenty will lead to a hundred. Because the only place these assholes have any sense of feeling is in their pocket books.

Already, I think Tiller's family could sue O'Reilly.
