I really enjoy Japanese horror flicks
Ringu aka The Ring was a very creepy film and spurred on a series of movies known as J-Horror that are very cool, but what's happening now to our economy is a little bit scarier. Maybe Miike will come out with a film called ZIRP.
That’s zero interest rate policy. And it has arrived. America has turned Japanese.
This is the thing I’ve been afraid of ever since I realized that Japan really was in the dreaded, possibly mythical liquidity trap.
ZIRP, it has a nice ring to it. Will Wall Street execs climb out of our TV's and try to kill us all?

Can ZIRP be covered by TARP ??
a Hole in the TARP ??
Wow! I guess that means the credit cards will be charging what? like 1%? Yeah. Right.
Miss a payment and someone from "the bank" comes by and breaks your legs.
I saw the ring, and I must have blinked my eyes during the creepy part. I had the same problem with the Grudge, it just never seemed creepy to me.
With Kiefer Sutherland
What's your point?
The privately owned group called the Federal Reserve. What is their history. What is their function. What are their methods. Who sets our monetary policy. etc.
Might as well try.

The Federal Reserve Act was signed into law on December 23rd in 1913. Many legislators were understandably not paying attention or in attendance due to the proximity of the Christmas holiday.
How was our money supply regulated before this Act. Who was in charge of printing our money. We need to study this stuff because we all know they don't teach this stuff in school.

Colorado Public Television aired this documentary numerous times during their fund raising telethon. Hope you all have seen it as well. Very informative and very nice due to the coverage of topics mostly not covered anywhere else. Enjoy.
The scariest thing about Japanese horror films is the poor acting.
But the American actors in true horror films are worse.
Miike is the best though. I still have the mental scars from watching "Ichi the Killer".
That's some seriously fucked-up shit.
I'm rather apprehensive about watching "Audition".

Audition is a great date movie! Hehehe.
I love Miike's work.
For the record, Miike didn't direct Ringu.
Ichi the Killer is awesome, but it's not for everyone.
Visitor Q is Miike's most twisted movie.
I like Cure and Pulse by Kiyoshi Kurosawa (no relation).
took them into a 10 year recession...why do we think it will work here?
oh...and why is it, if the prime is basically nothing...banks and credit card companies are still allowed to charge usurious rates?

Only if you don't make a copy of the tape and make someone else watch it! You've got 7 days! Hop to it!
I prefer Indian horror flicks:

There's a lot of good foreign horror films out there. Korea's Tale of Two Sisters is very similar in tone to Ringu, Grudge, etc. You might also want to check out Cold Prey (Fritt Vilt) from Norway, and Dust Devil from South Africa.
And if you like Miike, and haven't seen Audition, you haven't been scared yet.
But don't worry US! Maybe they'll make Saw VI

I hate J-horror remakes though. Hollywood always screws it up.
