Glenn Beck Shrieks Like A Little Baby When Challenged By Caller

I thought I was listening to some sort of parody when I first heard this clip. As it turns out, it's from Glenn Beck's joke of a radio show and it's some of the funniest stuff I've ever heard.
Beck is speaking to a woman who called into his radio show and challenged him on his stance on health care reform. Things build, and continue to get heated until about the 3:16 mark when he has a thrombo when the caller really puts the screws to him:
"Kathy, (violently screaming) GET OFF MY PHONE! GET OFF MY PHONE YOU LITTLE PINHEAD!! I DON'T CARE? YOOOOU PEOPLE DON'T CARE ABOUT THE TRILLIONS...(high-pitched squealing) GET OFF MY PHONE!!"
Wow. And he wonders why nobody takes him seriously.

Remember the infamous Dean Scream when Howard Dean lost the Iowa primary awhile back? Beck just topped it, by like 50 decibels.

This was also different IN KIND. Dean didn't really scream, he was just trying to be heard over the cheering crowd. But of course it was the perfect grist for the propaganda mill, scream or not.
Beck, on the other hand, simply had a psychotic moment in in public in his otherwise psychotic life.
Imagine, a mental midget, alcoholic/drug addict making 10s of millions of dollars for just reading his lines! Where else would he have that opportunity but for corportists trying to get their message out. He's a good little boy.
I'm not sure comparing it to the Dean Scream is the right analogy for a number of reason, not the least of which is that Dean didn't piss and shit his pants when he was screaming the way Beck did.
I think Chris Crocker is a more appropriate analogy for what Beck just did.

I actually wanted to hear his solution to the problem. Instead of saying people come here from other countries, I wanted to hear a real solution. We have great health care, if you can afford it.
Yes, MA is a little bit of a mess now because the State will not negotiate with the insurance companies, similar to the Medicare part D. That was Romney who put this in and insisted that there could no bargains. Again, profit above people. He thought that having everyone enrolled would drive down rates. That did not happen. Companies are not going to lower rates just to be nice.

glen beck is a dick. i believe some people don't understand there are several problems/concerns with our current healthCare system. one being rising cost way beyond the cost of living and addition to that the FALSE assumption people have that they aren't vulnerable to losing their healthCare ins. and/or job. we have a major problem now that will only get worse without intervention/reform. one million bankruptcies a year with over 60% being related to healthCare bills. unemployment/foreclosures still rising. glen beck is a FOOL using (r) talking points. the country and the economy will be in further set-back/decline without reform. the economy is a global economy where most industrial developed countries have a national healthCare system. another thing glen( dick head) we know medicine is top of the line in the u.s. it's the escalating cost and availability you jack ASS.
That high pitched shriek sparked an uncontrollable laughter for me. That was priceless. Really though trying to reason with that sub-human was a complete waste of her time. I thank her for the laughs though.

I was curious to see where the wingnuts got ahold of this story about the Doctor's lottery in Canada, and apparently the Doctor's Lottery story comes from this article. It was for a clinic in Gander Newfoundland, population 9951.
In Canada, like the in the U.S., doctors are free to practice wherever they want, and like in the U.S., most of them like to live near urban areas. Both countries have doctor shortages in the poor and rural areas. I'm pretty sure there are hundreds of similar stories about rural areas in the U.S., up to and including the 60 minutes story about Stan Brock and RAM setting up free clinics in the rural United States. RAM, an organization that is used to providing medical care to people in the impoverished THIRD WORLD! Ditto for Patch Adams and his free clinic.

Notice Beck never answers the question? When the caller asked him "What would you do to solve this problem", that's when he cuts her off and starts shrieking.
Yeah, Beck....Presidents and VIPs from around the world do come to the US because we have some of the best facilities in the world.
However, if you have no insurance or if your insurance company jacks your premiums up to $3,000 per month if you get sick (i.e. cancels your coverage by making it impossible to pay the premium), what frigin' difference does it make if we do have some of the best docs and facilities in the world? Only those presidents and VIPs you mention can AFFORD to take advantage of it in the first place.
Of course, a prick like you shills for the rich behind a facade of "Aw, shuks, I'm just an average dude" bullshit.
P.S. What Beck also doesn't mention is the fact that most of the world class medical technology we have in the US was made possible by GOVERNMENT RESEARCH GRANTS awarded to our leading medical schools.
Yes, notice these rightwing hacks can't come up with anything logical or rational; they only resort to screaming and shrieking as if that proves that they are right. Michael Medved questioned Al Franken's credentials and qualifications to be a Senator, using the argument that all Franken has ever done is criticize the conservatives, writing such books as "Rush Limbaugh Is a Big Fat Idiot" and then adding that Franken "never offers any solutions."
Of course, Beck is 100% correct-- they all are, because as soon as they get rid of the person challenging their beliefts, as soon as someone starts to show some superior knowledge or logic and they KNOW they can't win the debate, they resort to bullying tactics- like shrieking "Get off my phone!" And the listener never gets to hear the other side. They only hear that all these foreigners are coming to America for treatment, that there are waiting lists in Canada, etc.
I KNOW people in Canada, and I know Americans who were treated in Canadian and French hospitals. A friend's daughter, while a student in France, had to go to the ER. They said since she was not a citizen and didn't pay into their system, she must pay the hospital bill: it was $25. So, Glenn, tell me, when a foreign visitor ends up in an American hospital, how much does the bill amount to?
I wish that were true. Sadly, he seems to have a serious following.

I have no idea what he is talking about with Canada and a lottery? I am Canadian am mostly satisfied and very greatful for our healthcare system. Family members of mine have had cancer and been cured, had a stroke and been treated. My wife and I have had a baby and can go to our family doctor at any time with little wait and if an emergency can go to any Children's hospital and get excellent care with relatively little wait based on triage. Sometimes minutes and at most a few hours depending on severity. All (everything above) at NO COST except for parking fees and the fact that the system is paid for gladly out of our taxes. Taxes are higher than in the USA but given the insurance of health care for everyone it is well worth it. I really am so greatful we have our system and not the one in the U.S.

Two new doctors moved to Gander Newfoundland (population nine thousand), and the clinic held a lottery of 2000 people to see who would get them as family doctors. Doctor shortages are a problem in ALL countries. The wingnuts would have us believe it's unique to countries with public healthcare.)

My little sister is a charge nurse in a children hospital , her spectial is prematures , so she deals with aids , crack , deformed ities , including alcoholic's babys daily , bless her and those that have the strengh to do this .
She would argue with you about the disease part however , i agree for adults it is a choice , just not for all .

I had posted a comment earlier, as a Canadian, dealing with our health care system. Our son had a stroke when he was 18 months old with only subtle symptoms (a slight limp). For diagnosis and treatment he had to have over a dozen blood tests, 3 x-rays, 3 ultrasounds, 1 BoneScan, 1 CatScan, 2 MRIs, 1 Week total in Hospital, 6 emergency visits, 4+ visits to his pediatrician, a dedicated Rheumatologist and a dedicated Neurologist who both will be following him (seeing him yearly) until he is 18. Plus he is given physiotherapy for as long as he needs it at no cost. The system worked as fast as it makes sense to go through all of these steps and it cost our family $0.00 dollars. We paid no bills what so ever except for parking costs (less than 100.00) for appoinment visits. If we were in the U.S. and not insured and this happened, what would a family do? Having gone through this with our son I have deep empathy and sadness when I imagine anyone experiencing similar without the means to cover the costs. I can only imagine what these services would have cost a family in the U.S. if not insured.

I an a Canadian. We do not have a "lottery system" to decide who gets to see a doctor. I can make an appointment to see my doctor for non-emergency reasons usually withing a day or two, and can see a doctor almost immediately for an emergency. Where do people like Beck get their (mis)information from? I find it quite insuslting to have him telling lies about my country to further his own cause.
Glenn wasn't being serious when he had his breakdown, this is pure Beck. I listened to the show yesterday and he attempted to back up his claims with some stats from factcheck, whether they were true or not...

I live in Florida and have met hundreds of Canadian couples who live here part-time. Ask them why they don't move here permanently and you will hear the same answer, "not going to give up the health care".

Why do boobs like Beck continue to confuse access to health care with quality of health care? If people from elsewhere come her for medical treatment, it is because of the quality of health care we offer (which they presumably can afford.)
Even assuming we have the best quality of health care available on the planet, what good does it do us if most Americans can't afford it so essentially it's not available to them?

Right now I'm on the fence about socialized health care (but more inclined to choose for it). At this point it doesn't matter what Beck's argument is. He lost it when he went all kinds of crazy.
