For a Politico feature asking TV hosts who their favorite guests were, one might expect to hear big dogs like Bill Clinton or George HW Bush (Greta Van Susteren's favorite), or Jon Stewart (Howie Kurtz's) or even a little starstruck eye candy like Angelina Jolie (Wolf Blitzer's). But Mika Brzezinski's answer scares me most of all:
Brzezinski jumps at the chance to name Pat Buchanan “because he says what we are all thinking.” But as her father is former National Security Adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski, she has to pause: “Should I say my dad?”
Oh holy FSM. Buchanan says what we're all thinking? Does that mean that we're all a bunch of misogynistic, isolationist , Hitler-apologizing bigots, or can we just limit that to Uncle Pat and Mika?
We all think like Pat Buchanan? As David Weigel says, I don't think that's true.

I for one would not be surprised if by "we" she meant the loyal, ovine regulars who actually watch the show without regurgitating their breakfasts.

This first and only confession I will make is that I almost never hit the play on any of these videos.
I have seen all of this to know exactly what it is about.

I watched many of the earlier examples.
I do have a quibble about the overarching theme.
It is a walling off of civilization, a war on democracy.
The 'News' channels are thoroughly scripted from the owner's manual, the actors on the screen are all highly trained graduates of the owner's school for propaganda.
Even when they are portraying idiots.
Though it is only the filler between the advertisements, they will be certain that it conforms to the owner's Corporate sensibility completely.
I will leave it for you to watch them and I thank you for it.
But I just don't think the details will tell me anything new.
They are playing for the people who have already succumbed to their propaganda in the war.
Fighting them in each episode is fighting them in quicksand rather than in the air. But then they have all the gunships and we are the barefoot freedom fighters.

When these narrow minded cancervatives think of "Americans" they can only think of those surrounding them who think like they do. 27% may but that is wholly unfair to the vast majority, the 73%, who have more common sense than their cantankerous minority, in humility they should tone it down.
She was actully pretty good when the show first started. She got in Schmoe's face.
Then, something happened. Either she became part of "The Village," or Joe told her what he did to the poor girl who died in his office, and told her that if she didn't become more compliant, she'd end up the same way.
And based on the story she told of how pissed she was when Katie Couric got the gig she wanted and also based on the story of how she got the Morning Joe job, I think this is all simply about her doing what the "producers" tell her to do so she can keep her job.
She makes no bones about the fact that she is desperate to keep her mug on the teevee.
Err, noted.
When Pat Buchanan is the GOP's voice of sanity, we all in trouble.
Mika likes the Hitler-apologist Buchanan...she's so stupid that she has no clue how stupid she is.
Hitler wrote down exactly what he thought of Slavs: Untermensch = Subhumans, who were fit only to be the slaves of the "master race."
He was able to begin the implementation of his nifty little plan by forcing Poles, Russians and other Slavs into Arbeitslagers where they were rented by corporations for slave labor.

The only difference between Pat and Lou is that occassionally Pat can crack a joke. Both are mean spirited racists that believe in some white elite birthright. One serves as a nut racist on MSNBC and the other CNN. Both should move to FOX where they will be embraced by Bill, Sean and Glen and the gang.

I have listened to Brzezinski & Scarborough once and a while and they just come across to me pretty stupid people. Not much intellectual capacity there. Two of the stupidest pair on these so-called political shows. 90% of the time these two really have zero depth in the topics they are supposively discussing. Always off-the-cuff knee-jerk idiotic comments on stuff.
They're certainly some of the most shallow people on MSNBC. My favorite part of those two is how Joe always talks about how the GOP needs to disown the radicals in the party, but when somebody (Max Blumenthal, for instance) comes onto the show to talk about said radicals and how they've taken over the party, Joe can offer nothing but false equivalences and doesn't seem to want to substantially talk about how to overcome these radicals.
He knows just enough to make him sound like a reasonable conservative. Challenge him on anything, and he'll either yell louder or just completely blow you off. (Or block you on Twitter.)
I think Mika's onto something here. After all, I totally believe that Obama's Nobel Prize is an example of the affirmative action practices in the Nobel committee. Not only that, but I strongly feel that Hitler didn't ACTUALLY want to go to war, that Martin Luther King, Jr. is one of the most divisive men in history, that the health care bill is quite a bit like Nazi euthanasia, and that it's absolutely charming to joke about killing an ex-boyfriend of one of the daughters of a politician whom I've metaphorically slobbered over.
Then again, I'm also a loathsome, racist human being who refuses to let go of my outdated views and come to terms with the norm of the 21st century. But at least I've got somebody on TV representing those outdated views so perfectly!
I used to watch the show on the internet, until I found out about Dylan Ratigan. Basically what they do is entertainment noy even infotainment. I've seen her be the anchor on the news program and she actually does a better job at that than this coffee klatch.
Basically I think she's a Greenwich, Ct., Westchester County princess who has no idea of how the other half lives. Besidesher old man is the smartest man in the western world so some of that must have rubbed off.
After all it is Mika Brzezinski we are talking about. One of the only woman i know that has a noticable change of facial expression when she is "thinking or listening" really really hard. At times her confusion is visible as well. But her constant defence of Palin because she is a "working mom" is the best of all. the show is no less than painful to watch.
Mika is a total idiot, she's on the show because she can't argue the liberal side of any subject. and JS knows it, she wouldn't be there if she could. She buys into everything Scarborough says, "Well...It's a good point". Or she just gives him a blank stare, which I think she is just trying to give a disappointed mommy look to him, oohhh that'll teach him. But frankly, most TV progressives never argue the way they should. Complain about Mika all you want but all we mostly get are pu$$ies on TV any way, might as well be one.
Watch the show for a half hour anyday and she'll agree with at least Republican talking point or just ignore the truth. She's horrible. Oh, and in that half hour will at least twice gush over joe's wisdom and stareat him lovingly. It's truly a horrible show to watch.
As far as buchanon goes, Maddow can handle him and she knows he is a shrewed, smart man who's been in the politics game a long time, He's a lightweight to anyone who can argue the progressive viewpont intelligently. Go Rachel! Mika decided to like him because he is generally liked by the folks around NBC and good progressives like KO, RM and ES can hold their own against him and therefore can give a little respect to him, he's no threat anyway. So Mika took a gamble and said she likes him too, problem is she doesn't know why, just thought it would be cool to like a conservative because she thinks she is a liberal, truth is she has no clue. Her dad's name got her through until now and now that she's on TV and has to think for herslf for three hours she's overwhelmed, just watch her trainwreck every single day.
Well, she has a right to her opinon, and to lurve Patrick "this has been a country basically built by white folks" Buchanan. I have a right to mine too..
Mika needs rehab. She appears to be under the influence of something whenever I tune in. Lush? Pills? Powder? etc...not a good look. IMHO..

I cannot take any more of the Joe & Mika show.
He talks like John Wayne giving a seminar on poli sci to a group of undergrads. She's always got her undies in a twist over something. All they do is sneer and shrug at everything and everyone. It's not a news show. You will not learn anything new unless a guest comes on to report on something. It is merely an opinion show where issues are raised and then Mika or Joe give the thumbs up or thumbs down -- in the style of Saturday Night Live's "Two A-Holes" sketch.

I have not tuned into their lame show for months now.....
For humor and silliness I prefer Howard Stern in the morning.
Believe it or not but Robin Quivers tells more serious news on such a non-serious show than some of these elitist TV Networks.
At least Howard defends gay marriage and people's right to be free in their bodies and selves.....Howard does not pretend to be holier than thou either like the other jerks in the media.....
How many other shows have openly gay men on their show and not afraid to do so like Howard?
So, I gave up on these two yahoos long ago.
Again, Robin Quivers does a much better news broadcast than Mika and Joe do. And much better insight and analysis....Now that should tell you about the present state of the news in the USA.
