Wow, that happened faster than I thought it would:

The Food Network said Friday it's dumping Paula Deen, barely an hour after the celebrity cook posted the first of two videotaped apologies online begging forgiveness from fans and critics troubled by her admission to having used racial slurs in the past.

Deen, for her part, issued a remarkably gracious letter of thanks to the Food Network for all their years together. Deen's ties to other business interests (an upcoming book and other endorsements) have not yet been determined.

It's truly remarkable how fast Food Network acted to their credit (and not everyone is happy about it), but the question has to be asked: Rush Limbaugh says things as disgusting as Deen every single day. It took a weekend for Deen to pay the price. What will it take for Rush Limbaugh?
