Don't get me wrong. I LOVE my country. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. But the meme that we ARE the best country that ever existed is BS. The greatest country that ever existed has been nearly destroyed by religious fanatics who want nothing more than to MURDER millions of people in the name of RELIGION. OUR "vaulted leaders" want to murder MILLIONS, not because they present any kind of viable THREAT to US but to make the rest of the WORLD OBEY THEM. They want OWNERSHIP of the world's resources for their "BOTTOM LINES", FORCED IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE, by threat, attack, bombs, forced changes in the beliefs of the world's population. Anything it takes goes. NOTHING is out of the question. NOTHING is bad enough for any of our "vaulted leaders" to say "STOP".
The "Greatest Country On Earth" lets 45 MILLION Americans DIE each year for lack of health care because the BOMBS are more worthy of the money. The Lockheed Martins, the Boeings, the Wall Street thieves, the insurance company murderers bottom lines, their next election, on and on TRUMP the American People.
The "Greatest Country that ever existed condones kidnapping, beating, Lying, TORTURE, MURDER, covering up the worst war crimes in HISTORY, allows the criminal a get out of jail free card because it's more CONVENIENT to let the criminals go free IF they have a lot of CONNECTIONS, except the few MILLIONAIRES who happened to get on the wrong SIDE of the wrong people or if one of those high ups might get MAD at them.
Too many of the residents of the "Greatest Country that ever existed" are out there laughing and mocking anyone they consider LESS than they. They're out there making fun of disabled and sick people even to the point of telling a wheelchair bound woman "Wawawa. DIE!"

Politicians on the right want to REWRITE the text books to reflect their LIES and self interested blasphemy.

We have BEEN the greatest country, the most respected, but we have ALSO been the worst and right NOW we have NO LAW that the RICH cannot break. Our children are learning ONLY that if you tell the LIE often enough the more people will believe it, the more likely it becomes the belief of the masses rather than call the lie the lie it is and confront the liars.
We are a country of SHEEP, willing and begging to believe the lies of the wholly owned, bought and paid for corporate interests who can no longer produce more than a few oranges. Why? Because we have been SOLD OUT by the greedy politicians who have been bought and paid for by the corporate interests and their own self interest.
"The Greatest Country that ever existed" has destroyed our manufacturing BASE, assisted the corporations in leaving US without jobs and then blamed US for the lack of jobs by saying WE MAKE TOO MUCH MONEY in spite of the fact that most of us NEVER made more than 5 or 10 percent of what they pay themselves ON OUR DIME. The ONLY THING WE HAVE LEFT is war, rendition and torture and the perps on television every single DAY BRAGGING about their CRIMES and their PRIDE in perpetrating them and a justice department that no longer has any semblance of justice.
"The greatest country that ever existed would OBEY the Constitution, it's leaders would HOLD CRIMINALS ACCOUNTABLE no matter who they are or how much MONEY they have OR how much of that MONEY would assist the politicians to get re-elected year after year after decade to continue working AGAINST the best interest of the population for PROFIT. And we can't EVER get back there until the politicians RECOGNIZE that "We The People" are diverse and do NOT all subscribe to their personal beliefs and OUR Constitution demands we ALL have the RIGHT to make that CHOICE for OURSELVES and not have someone else's "beliefs or pretense of" forced on US.
When Nancy Pelosi took IMPEACHMENT off the table in direct opposition to what the Constitution demanded and BROKE her OATH to uphold it, we became a lawless nation where CRIME PAYS. And unless we can get back to the point where the LAW and the Constitution matter we can never again BE the "Greatest Country That Ever Existed".

Let's see past performance, hmmmmm? What do you really expect from any of these people? It is a sad day when the most we can hope for is that the conservative come to our aid and prevent the bill from passing.
