Tea Baggers Laugh As Woman Describes Losing Her Daughter-in-Law and Unborn Grandchild
By Susie Madrak Monday Nov 23, 2009 9:00amFrom Chicago journalist Kristen McQueary, this deplorable story:
As a journalist covering Chicago politics, verifying information is like climbing a mountain of sand. With each step you take, the deeper you sink.
Last week while researching claims from a local Tea Party activist, I found myself asking a family for proof that they had lost an unborn grandchild.
The family, Dan and Midge Hough, of Chicago, spoke in favor of health care reform and in support of U.S. Rep. Dan Lipinski (D-3rd) at a Nov. 14 town hall meeting in Oak Lawn.
Their daughter-in-law, Jenny, and an unborn grandchild died recently due in part, they believe, to a lack of health insurance. They said Jenny was not receiving regular prenatal care and ended up in an emergency room with double pneumonia that developed into septic shock. Her baby died in the womb, and Jenny died a few weeks later, leaving behind a husband and a 2-year-old daughter.
Catherina Wojtowicz, of Chicago's Mount Greenwood community, an organizer for a Tea Party splinter group, Chicago Tea Party Patriots, falsely claimed that the Houghs fabricated their story. In an e-mail, she called them operatives of President Barack Obama who "go from event to event and (cry) the same story."
When the Houghs spoke at the Lipinski event, some Tea Partiers ridiculed them. They moaned and rolled their eyes and interrupted. Midge Hough began to cry.
The audience, Wojtowicz later explained, was exasperated by stories of isolated tragedies that cloud debate over the health care bill itself.
"What we are talking about is the bill," she said. "We've all had family members pass away, but would this health care bill really have prevented (Jenny's) death? We do question it."

The teabaggers have turned the religious right into the religious wrong.
I would like all the congressmen who won't budge on health care reform and options to go back to their states and, without telling anyone their title, to try to get health care on their own - as a civilian. At their age. In their state. Become the "common man." When they find out how un-insurable they are - with age, pre-conditions, etc., like the rest of us - maybe then they will wake to the needs of Americans. I dare them to try...
These same guys tell us that, for "healthcare", all we need to do is go to the Emergency Room.
You think THESE guys can come to a rational decision? Dream on.
ADDENDUM: I posted a blog entry today entitled "Debunking 8 Ridiculous Lies About Healthcare Reform" and it didn't take very long to draw its first wingnut telling me how "dumb" Democrats are.
Funny how these repug Congressmen and Senators hate government run healthcare but it seems to be good enough for them. Keep in mind, they all have six digit salaries. There's nothing stopping these free market defenders from opting out of their own government run healthcare and buying private insurance with their six digit salaries. Come on Coburn and Demented stop being such hypocrites.
The fact they admitted they did not bother reading what they were calling you stupid about was even better.
Funny how common that is among Repuglicans.
I remember McCain at the 2004 RNC Convention criticizing Michael Moore, then later admitting he never saw the movie.
I don't think it is funny that our Representatives are votiing on bills they have not read. That is scary.
If we are going to have gov't. run healthcare, then the President, VP, Congressmen and Senators all need to have the same insurance that's being given to the rest of us. That's the only way to make sure they read what they are signing. That will never happen.
Why would a married 24 year old woman, who already has a young child, get preg. again, without first getting insurance? I think that's the problem. Too many people expect the govt. or society to pay for them and their poor choices. If you don't have ins. don't get preg. This was her 2nd child. Use birth control until you have a job and can afford to pay for your kids. I'm sure they expect our taxes to pay for them. There are no longer enough working folks to support everyone who doesn't work and all of their kids. Someone has to pay the bills.
We don't know if she was using b control. We don't know if she meant to get preggers. We don't know anything, except that she died.
nice. and your first thoughts and reaction is about the money ?
How do you know she did not have insurance when she became pregnant? Is it possible she HAD insurance from work, then the company folded-she's out of work-no insurance.... Nine months carrying a baby....must be easy finding work in that situation, especially now. Please don't judge others too early. Thank you. Yes, I work, pay taxes AND my medical insurance. I don't like people to abuse the system, but I am thankful it is there for the needy, as anyone of us, yes, even you or me, may need in the future. For the NEEDY, not the GREEDY is my slogan. Enjoy your holiday season and have a great New Year!!
... why don't YOU forego routine doctor's examinations and see how your life turns out?
And how is it 'clouding over' the debate? We have a pregnant woman without insurance, without prenatal care for her child - and this is a distraction? Obviously, it is, because the Real Focus is Big Government and the new sociocommufascislamocracy of the Scary Black Dude-in-Chief.
we are NOW is a serious NO WIN situation
with the teabaggers/farright wingnut fringe.
McCarthyism is back and backed up by their
scum-of-the-earth militias.
whether this bill could possibly prevent deaths like this. But belittling and laughing at the Houghs for telling their story is disgusting.
The problem is that this type of nonsense is the only thing they have. Try to get one to give you any kind of solution in any detail whatsoever other than "letting the invisible hand work its magic".
The earth is only 5000 yrs old. The only reason we get sick is because some stupid woman listened to a magic talking snake and angered the big Thunder God in the Sky - so, why is their belief in this "magic hand" a shocker?
Once again, this is why these people should have NO SAY in how we reform health care.
.... if you have doubts about the effectiveness of pre-natal care.
I only confessed to doubts that a 2000 page industry appeasing bill will actually make that type of care more available.
As this example points out, you'd think the teabagging rightwingnuts would be all in favor of healthcare reform so that they can force women to have their babies whether viable or not. But no; they'd rather someone who wants a baby to lose it due to a lack of healthcare.
Well, no one ever said they made sense.
Republicans are PRO-LIFE!!! (Except for unborn babies without insurance.)
Jesus loves you and will kill you if you piss him off.
in Pittsfield, Massachusetts over the summer and all the Single Payer supporters sat in one back corner of the room.
There was a "contingent" of illegal immigrant bashers in another area. They were spewing downright hatefulness toward ANY illegals. It was as if we were in a room with scores of Lou Dobbsbots.
We doctors and nurses who consider ourselves "real" human beings let them have it.
I think at least "some" of them left the meeting feeling ashamed of themselves.
What section of hell do these tea baggers come from?
I just don't want to live there with them anymore.
one of the first five circles of Hell.
After looking into it... They're from the Eighth Circle of Hell, particularly Bolgia 9.
What section of Hell are these tea baggers going to? Dante must have described a section for them.
Haiti.
My first deleted comment! Was the snark not obvious moderator?
I want an amendment that says my tax dollars not only won't kill fetus's but also won't kill human adults, children and babies. Why is my money being used for war which is morally wrong for me and most religions. I guess once you are born or are brown, killing is OK with taxpayer funded bombs and missiles. So Iran if you want to make sure we don't kill any of you in a future war, just stay a fetus, you are sacrosanct.
And of course the teatards concern troll and ask for empathy after being caught being jerks yet again.
And especially in Chicago. That's why these sad, uneducated, mostly old and all white people are so angry.

Thanks for the hook-up.
I left a cordial message inquiring that is it their strategy to permanently destroy all hope with independent voters.
and is causing them to lash out. Like cornered dying animals, they'll attack the people trying to help them.
but Mt Greenwood is one of the most racist areas of Chicago. This doesn't surprise me in the slightest that the old bitch is a poster on WP websites. I am not leaving England anytime soon. It is going to be so weird to be in the USA this Christmas. 3 weeks is all I can handle.
If I may ask, where are you going to be?
:)
And don't get sick.
I am a Chicago girl but been over here for almost 8 years.
Left and Left, I am from Woodlawn and I live in East London, before that, Glasgow. I am hard as nails! :)
Remember these uneducated, uncaring Reslug troglodytes, are the absolute definition of ignorant scum of the earth.
.... the more I love and appreciate my pets.
What the hell is wrong with these people? And I will bet you dollars to donuts that most of these heathens consider themselves "good Christians".
Catherina Wojtowocz likes to post on 'White Pride' websites. Here is an example, in fact it is one her posting calling for these racist jerks to show up at Lipinski's town hall. Notice the infamous 'ObamaCare' witch doctor poster.

than a guy on the government dole ranting and raving. He has government run health care.
That's too polite a term for these inhuman people. Let's call them what they are: Teabagger Monsters.
The conditions of young mother Jennifer are indeed treatable. She didn't have to die or spend 55 days suspended between life and death.
I just don't get the right wing. Apparently they are "pro-life" only if that life agrees with their politics. Otherwise, it appears they want you to go ahead and die; that's one less liberal to deal with.
Exasperated at isolated stories like this!?!?! How offensive, stories like this are the reason why we need health care reform. Lives that have been tragically altered. What a twit this Catherina woman is...a personal story clouding the debate! Since when do tea party protesters debate? I have had the displeasure of encountering these so called protesters, they are defensive, they yell, say horrible things, make no sense whatsoever, they have misplaced rage, facts do not exist with this crowd.....the list goes on and on. Case in point...."I do not like it that Obama never served in the Military" "Well sir Bush and Cheney never served in the military" his answer "SO!" My response, "then you have an issue with Obama's race?" his answer "I just don't think it's a good idea that we have a black president, and don't call me a racist" "Sir you are a racist"
This was an actual conversation I had with one of these nitwits......They are a loud and horrible bunch.....And will someone please tell them what Teabagging means?
that don't have health insurance either. I saw a lot of obese people in the crowd that will be denied care because of a pre-existing condition. The only reason they are against it is because progressives are for it.
is not a white man.
It's the reason they don't want to openly say - but, it's the only reason left when all their lies are discounted.
I think the fact they belong to a group with a leader that is a frequent poster to "white pride" sites openly says their issue is Obama's race pretty well. It is more of an issue of the "liberal media" not calling something exactly what it is.
the MSM is till locked in their "false equivelancy" paradigm.
If 2+2=4, 2+3=4 does not get equal time, nor is it because of liberal 'bias' or 'gotcha media'.
But the only reason the MSM has this false equivalency problem is because they started listening to the likes of Rush Limbaugh and Bernard Goldberg.
but they were probably just as hard on the Clintons.
The protests against healthcare reform may not be about race, but the fact that a black man lives in the WH seems to have emboldened many who stayed home in the 90s.
I am more inclined to think that the corporate interests who back GOPers use the underlying racism to inflame the issue.
Although, as I said a few months ago, I did have a redneck guy tell me no black man had a right to speak to his daughter. *sigh*
you could counter with the fact that Jesus emphasized "welcoming the stranger" in many many stories.
His problem was Obama speaking to kids in school.
No doubt he self-identifies as such, but my personal response to anyone who tells me that they are a christian is to ask, "Catholic or Protestant?", followed up by "Which version of the Bible do you read?"
I have gotten some strange looks, and some even odder responses. ;o}
I always want to ask the same questions when some knucklehead says America is a Christian nation.
Would that be Greek Orthodox, Roman Catholic, etc.
but can you imagine the time it would take to explain the differences? That's why I keep it simple, I figure most have at least heard of the Catholic Church. Once I had a 'Watchtower' pusher ask me what 'Protestant' meant. ;o}
but she'll argue forever that her's is the only True Religion!
I have yet to have any of these bible thumpers support my right to execute people for working on Saturday.
If they get to ban gay marriage then clearly I should be able to stone my disobedient children. Yet the Nanny State and the damned liberals force their political correctness on me.
needs to immediately marry her husband's brother, even if he's already married.
I love the talking snake people.
Don't forget to sacrifice a goat or a bull when you touch your menstrual wife or gf before you go to church.
I am not sure why the Christian teabagger crowd would bring up doing anything Jesus suggested since he was a Jew. Not only that but a Jew with no birth certificate.
Made coffee come out my nose though. Sometimes comedy is painful. ;o}
who would Mary list as the father? She was an unwed mother tsk tsk.
Mary was wed.
Who officiated?
More important
Who catered?
Was there plenty of lox, matzoh balls, gefilte fish, hamantashen and Mogen David?
18Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
19Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. (How can they be espoused and married at the same time unless they're collapsing the timeline?)
20But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
21And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
24Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
25And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
("A virgin shall be with child and give birth to a son, and they shall call him Emmanuel" [Isaiah - Chapter 7: verse 14])
Matthew 1:18-25 KJV
To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
Luke 1:27 KJV
Jesus birth is not mentioned in Mark.
In other words, they were engaged, not married, and I seem to recall Joseph tried to skeedaddle, but an angel told him in a dream who Jesus was.
But since it takes 9 months to give birth, even miraculous births, anything could have happened in the interim, we just weren't told.
"I am more inclined to think that the corporate interests who back GOPers use the underlying racism to inflame the issue"
They sure found a very ready audience for it - and it had to be there with the CEOs at the top too, or they never would have invested so much in it.
Racism - like domestic abuse - is not just for poor people.
the not-really-about-health-care white pride rallies and the escalated gun owwnership and death threats to Obama and the jump in white supremacy groups.
Other than that - just the same.
... in his campaign. Hanging on to their guns. Hanging on to their warped view of Christianity. Hanging on to their arcane belief systems. The only alternative is to admit they have been wrong all these years and I don't think most of them are capable of that.
In my best high falseto:
NAILED IT!
They truly are the bitters.
remark, but the truth is, he was right!
and, once again - this is why they should not be allowed to have ANY SAY in reforming health care.
They have no one's best interests at heart, including their own.
A comment from somewhere (maybe C&L)
Climate deniers shouldn't be allowed to get flu shots.
I say it is the teabaggers who shouldn't get flu shots.
(strictly joking - not seriously)
Why should the teabaggers get flu shots? Especially ones subsidized by governmental assistance? They need to follow their screeching and "go Galt".
Yo! Admin ...CENSORSHIP is a wonderful thing isn't it. Screw freedom of speech, that's the ticket!
{ You may not advocate violence in any form here. Perhaps you haven't read the Commenting Policy yet. SiteMonitor}
You have freedom of speech. Just as this private website has the right to remove your comments.
And this is coming from someone that felt the sitemonitor was way out of line recently, yet also actually understands the meaning of the First Amendment.
shouldn't get any vaccinations, including flu shots, since they are all based on biology - you know, one of those life sciences that are based on evolution.
If you don't believe in evolution, isn't a vaccination false knowledge, not of God, and therefore, Satanic? What good Christian parent would allow their baby to have a shot from the Devil?
I keep waiting for someone to ask Sarah or the other creationist politicians if their kids have been vaccinated?
...this actually occurs in some regions, even down to some WV churches (glad I moved away!) recommending that their members not get vaccinations. That or the "Autism is caused by vaccinations" myth...
that vaccinations are the cause of autism but something is causing the instances of it too increase. Along with adhd and numerous other things. I had a dear friend who was convinced that ultrasounds were part of the problem and they might be right.
https://www.asrt.org/content/News/IndustryNew...
Back in her day autism was relatively rare compared to now, also ultrasounds were relatively rare compared to now. Part of it could be a better diagnostic rate of autism but is that all it is? Or could there be another reason for the higher rate now?
and, the dr, who did the "research" on the vax connection had that research exposed as a fraud: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_sty...
Science has found a genetic component: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/01/...
the definition has expanded, but she was going on personal experience in the schools where she worked in special ed with children with severe autism. And the amount of children with severe autism compared to the number of children in the school was rising dramatically from the early 70's to the mid 90's.
so has asthma. I read a stat recently that said that 1 out of every 5 kids has it. Unbelievable. I knew 1 kid in school growing up in the 70s that has asthma.
is a sub sect of biology, not the basis for biology.
I've heard it said that, "Nothing in biology makes sense except in the context of evolution".
Of course creationists would deny this (I'm not calling you one btw)
Sect is a religious reference, not science, unless it's a Freudian slip on your part for sub-set.
That's where my old man is at.
interfere in other people's decisions. What if that young mother wanted to save her own life and sadly decide to abort her baby? The wingers would have plenty to say about that...
truly, life is cheap in
Casablancathe US.is that, with a few exceptions, the movement itself really does believe that you should suffer if you can't provide healthcare for yourself. Movement conservatives have spent untold amounts of energy and money trying to spin that fact around and around enough times until it becomes hard to distinguish starkly, but it still sits there, deep down, festering and rotting out the soul of the Right wing.
There is no doubt that the right has been driven for decades by the ideology of hatred for the poor.
It's just that, in a world where you need the support of not just your most ardent ideologues, admitting to your core beliefs when they are this rotten and immoral is something that can't be done.
And then, every once in a while, they slip up and let their cores get exposed to the light of day.
have been easily deceived into thinking Their money will be used to help "the poor" (that is: "dark skinned people, lazy unemployed & illegals"), rather than the rich paying their fair share -finally.
They're frightened of just about everything, especially loosing what little money they have. Tragic, because with lower health care costs they would have more money. But they're unable to visualize themselves as needing or receiving the benefits. Or, rather, they've been convinced by monsters like Beck & Hannity -all under Murdoch's direction- of that very thing.
Angry, frightened ignorant people, who lack empathy for "Others" even if there are 50 million of them.
Their biggest fear is that a nickel of their tax money will benefit an off-white person.
If you're rich, it's because you earned it, and therefore deserve it, along with everything that goes along with wealth - like excellent health care.
And, if you are rich, God wants you to have it - this is the new Evangelical creed: forget Jesus and the poor - God wants you to wear a well-deserved Rolex, just like your preacher wears.
Other countries recognize health care as a human need, Right-wing Republicans regard health care as a perq for the well to do, like a mansion, and a Hummer.
It's a very dark, Dickensian view of the world, but, don't forget, this has been going on since Reagan's Welfare Queens - how dare the poor aspire to a Cadillac - as well as Newt Gingrich's suggestion in the 80's that we reinstitute state orphanages and Debtor's Prisons, (privatised, of course, so someone can make money off of imprisoning the poor - and, why not?).
A couple of weeks ago a Republican Congressman stated that there should be no mandatory HIV te4sting for pregnant women because - get ready, you know it will be bad - bevause, the mothers should have to pay for their promiscuity by having babies with AIDS. I'm sure this animal is comfortable in his perversion of Christianity thinking that it would be God's Will for the sins of the mother to be visited on a baby.
This is who these people are - they are sick, evil, vicious, self-serving liars, and they should not have a say in health care reform.
not to mention the assumption that the AIDS was spread through promiscuity and not by a husband with a latent virus or possibly even her parents to her (it's been around that long).
I mean, really, they are all about punishing other people for the inconvenience of existing.
God says he visits the sins of the father upon 7 generations of his descendents.
Jesus didn't talk about that much though
like the Republican Congressman who is against testing pregnant women for AIDS, because they should have to have HIV positive babies as a punishment for their promiscuity - really.
Or not getting young girls the vaccination to prevent cervical cancer because the disease is a fitting punishment for - you guessed it - promiscuity.
And these are the "get the government out of my life" people. I think they just want Government not to be able to stop their insane need to control every facet of a woman's life.
"I am convinced that the unworthiest among us is he who cannot master his ill fortune."
Also attributable to just about any bagnut ...
Are the lowest form of life on the planet with this crud.
Lower than bacteria IMO
Bacteria are actually the most successful form of life on Earth. Far from being low, they more or less run the place.
I'd say we're the lowest form of life. No other creatures indulge in the perverse, ugly, hateful, horrendous behavior we do, as often as we do, and with such relish as we do.
The higher you are on the food chain, the less important you are.
We don't provide anything for anything except ourselves.
Every other living thing on this planet is important to something higher. We're the only things that have no importance to anything else.
Heresy, I say!!! :P
soylent green?
Or maybe the bar soap from "Fight Club?" (I think that was the movie)
perverse, ugly, hateful, horrendous behavior do you refer to? Almost everything humans do happens in the rest of the animal kingdom.
Infantacide by the mother is very rare in the animal kingdom.
Humans abandon, neglect, and abuse their young much more frequently than other great apes.
Most great ape societies raise their young as a group, most human societies figure child-rearing is the responsibility of the mother. (It takes a village, the chimps get it-why can't we?)
Humans may not be the only animal that makes tools, but we are the only animal that makes tools for the express purpose of killing each other.
Just saying.
the lack of intelligence, it's also the selfishness and the depraved indifference to human suffering, or in this case, sick delight in human suffering.
What odious creatures so many of them are...
I am an atheist, but I will put my "Christ-like" values up against the lot of them.
"I like your Christ. It is your "Christians" I have a problem with. They are so unlike your Christ."
Gandhi
Christ-like than these cretins.
We have family in Europe and they never speak of the Christians in America - they see it as a different thing - American Christianity - and it is considered an insult.
FWIW
New Testament anyway.
a lot of them are really into the Before Jesus part of the Bible...lots of fire and brimstone for other people. The NT only applies to them when they get caught pulling their crap.
were all Buddhists. There are vanishingly few Christians who actually emulate Jesus. Most of them can't stand anything he stood for. Certainly they make not the slightest effort to live the way he said they should.
"God Save Me from the Christians"
Making it more conservative and removing some of the more troubling liberal stuff.
God told them to.
I tell them God chose me to tell them how stupid they are.
Isn't God so powerful he might love independents as much as republicans? And even democrats!!
http://conservapedia.com/Conservative_Bible_P...
He created the Jefferson Bible, which is nothing but the words and teachings of Jesus.
He believed that the Old Testamnent, and much of the New, was superstitious tripe that led men to do horrible things to each other - and always in the name of God.
Today's so-called Christians have done the opposite - they ignore the teachings of Jesus, in fact, except for the miracle conception and the death by torture and the miracle of the Ressurection, they pretty much ignore Jesus - God knows we aren't hearing much Sermon on the Mount from the Right-wingers - it's all Old Testament hate, vengeance and superstition - and straight from there to Revelations, where they can get all rapturous about how they'll be saved and we'll suffer forever.
Just what Jesus had in mind, I'm sure.
... the same people who crow about how Christ died for our sins will opine that waterboarding is just a harmless dunk in the water.
Christ was tortured for political expedience, subjected to a show trial, and executed alongside two common thieves.
So how many of these people describe themselves as pro-life?
That is only until the baby is born. Then it is all pro-war baby!
Once you're born, you deserve every ounce of suffering and misery coming your way.
Forget that whole manger thing, God would have had you born to a wealthy family.
I'm getting mighty damn sick of the term "pro-life". It's so patently a lie.
I vote we start calling them "pro-fetus". That's far more honest, and if enough of us use it, it'll spread and stick to them. Then maybe the attitude towards women's choice in this country will become more sane.
pro-blastocyst?
Too technical. And not accurate either. They only get all hysterical when the thing starts showing some vague resemblance to a human being.
Nope, I think "fetus" is the word. Everyone knows what that means already, and it'll refocus things nicely.
I like pro-fetus over pro-birth because birth is happy word and I wouldn't want to give them credit for that. Fetus is what it is. Yes, we know it's going to be a baby, but that is not what they care about.
Their politics are truly invasive.
♪♫"rainy days and fetuses always get me down.."♪♫
But haven't you noticed how they try to get all scientific about the very earliest stage of conception, even saying that some contraceptives are abortion?
But yeah, I doubt if many of them know what a blastocyst or a zygote is.
is also a pretty good label for them that Tyler's been promoting.
*
Partially Born Againers?
*
It's been twenty years or more that that term has been used, and it's never stuck. Some people on the left use it, but it's ignored otherwise. It's the "anti" part - nobody likes that, and it doesn't really play on the term THEY prefer, "pro-life". Turning the "pro" against them is something we haven't tried yet.
THEY have done it to us, though, by turning "pro-choice" into "pro-abortion". So I think we should use the same ammunition. Tit for tat, as they say.
Two-faced bigots.
pro-government control.
I know it's long, but, they are so anti-government, maybe they need to be faced with the title - they are for Federal Government control of women's bodies - and they should be called on it.
They should be asked, "Are you a pro-controller? Do you believe the Federal government should have total control of a citizen's body?" "Do you believe that men caught masturbating, and wasting potential human life, should be charged with a felony: reckless abandonement of sperm?"
... that a wet dream, a common enough occurence in adolescence, would be a crime akin to involuntary manslaughter?
says its ok to stone your kid for mouthing off - so, what's the big deal - just get one of your wives to pop out a replacement - that's what a good Dominionist would do.
... Christianity.
In both the Old and New Testament, women are the temptresses, prostitutes, and adulteresses.
Mine are all whores, witches and chattle!
WOO HOO!
is the the Standard King Handypants version?
Call them what they are - anti-choice, or, better yet, anti-rights. If you have to go with pro something, go with pro-government slavery - because they want a woman's body under government control during her pregnancies.
No health care, just control.
Of course, once the child is born, it is "survival of the fittest".
There's another dishonest expression I'm getting sick of. "Survival of the fittest." I rarely hear anyone use it accurately. They always mean "survival of the strongest" or "meanest" or "most vicious". NOT what Darwin meant AT ALL.
If they were, all Mothers would have access to pre-natal care.
How about "anti-choice"?
As I commented above, it's been used for many years, and never stuck.
because we aren't as relentless about talking points. They've been relentless for a generation - we don't even call them on the whole retarded "Democrat Party" idiocy.
But, I still like "pro-Federal government control".
Imagine if every bobblehead conversation now had to deal with a Dem saying how surprised they are to see Republicans so in favor of "pro-Federal Government control" laws?
Because, once they get their way on setting a precedent for Federal control of a citizen's body, where does it stop?
"Mothers would have access to pre-natal care."
I have always thought the best way to start universal healthcare would be to cover all expectant mothers and babies/children through 18 years old. All kids would be covered - period.
It would be a meaningful start.
My understand is if a women has a period not kids have been conceived yet.
