Drexel University in Philadelphia, day two of a week-long Social Security state tour by Republican senator Rick Santorum, pitchman for the president's plan.

Inside Politics has the story

CROWD: Hey, hey, ho, ho, Social Security's got to go!

SANTORUM: Anybody knows what happens in 2008?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: George Bush will be out of office.

SANTORUM: That's one thing. Very good. Anybody else?

So far Santorum is feeling the heat. It makes no sense to me that the republicans go around trying to sell private accounts with out offering a comprehensive plan yet. George Bush and many republicans have hated Social Security on ideological grounds for more than thiry years. Don't you think that they would have a rock solid plan to introduce by now. All options on the table is not a plan.
