He explains why he shredded(correction) the copies that he made form the originals (to protect his source. He returned the originals) and again points out that Blair has has never refuted them.

Ed at Captain's Quarters persists in his claim that they are forgeries. One of the arguments being that they were reprinted on an old-fashioned typewriter. Wasn't that the same argument made to discredit the GOP talking points memo on Terri Schiavo? The memo was so badly done it couldn't be real. Ed says " Even if these memos could be authenticated, they're still meaningless." Again I beg to differ with Ed. The American people were told that a mushroom cloud was about to appear over our fair city if we didn't attack Iraq immediately. We all know the foreign policy makers in the Bush White House always wanted to change the face of the Middle East.

When we hear the term" slam dunk" from George Tenant as more evidence to defend President Bush, I'd like to know what evidence did Tenant have to call it a slam dunk? In Woodward's book, he never spells that out and no one has asked. Why isn't that question ever brought into the discussion? Knowing that The U.S. planned this attack and was willing to fix evidence to get it done is not meaningless.
