In an oped for Catholic Online, Rick Santorum writes that "When the culture is sick, every element in it becomes infected. While it is no excuse for this scandal, it is no surprise that Boston, a seat of academic, political and cultural liberalism in America, lies at the center of the storm."

While Rove doesn't speak for him, I guess James Dobson does. The stupidity of statements like this goes beyond the pale. I'm waiting for Bill O'Reilly to start a "Boycott Boston" campaign. I thnk I read it in the Paris Review somewhere. Sorry Red Sox fans (I know Santorum's quote is a bit old, I just couldn't help myself with "Boycott Boston.)

Andrew Sullivan writes: Santorum is the gift that just keeps on giving, isn't he?

John Cole predicted this first :The more I think about it, this is Rick Santorum we are talking about. Rove may not speak for him because he merely hinted liberals are traitors- Santorum might want to throw in 'non-believing sodomites.'
