Mr. Bungle has always done an excellent job of making people uncomfortable, but, fortunately, it has worked out pretty well for them in the long run. It's hard to put Mr. Bungle into a genre because, as you'll hear in this song, there are so many influences present. "Quote Unquote" starts off as some sort demented, dissonant carnival music, but ends up morphing into other styles, mainly through the rhythms. It goes from straightforward, bombastic duple meter into a swing, then into a much more complex twist on the swing rhythm. If you're into these sort of musical antics, then you should definitely check out the rest of Mr. Bungle's discography.

Got any favorite music with multiple rhythmic patterns?
