Japanese Ace Tanaka Agrees To 7-year, $155 Million Deal With Yankees

The Yankees made another free agent splash on Tuesday by signing the much coveted Japanese pitching ace Masahiro Tanaka to a seven year $155 million dollar contract.

The New York Yankees and prized Japanese pitcher Masahiro Tanaka agreed Wednesday to a $155 million, seven-year contract.

In addition to the deal with the 25-year-old right-hander, the Yankees must pay a $20 million fee to his Japanese team, the Rakuten Golden Eagles.
