In a surprising turn of events, Kirsten Powers took issue with BillO and agreed with Sally Kohn about unseemly GOP cheerleading for Putin.

Oh, my, my, my. Bill O'Reilly's knickers are more twisted than usual over the fact that Sally Kohn called out Fox News, John McCain and Lindsey Graham for lauding Vladimir Putin as a "leader" in order to call President Obama "weak."

To her credit, Kirsten Powers blasted Kate Obenshain and BillO right out of the water with her review of recent history under George W. Bush, wrapping it up with this:

Why are Lindsey Graham and John McCain the experts? They have led us down these trails […] The Iraq War is going to go down in history as one of the stupidest things that this country has ever done, and they still have the nerve to go on television and lecture people,” she said. Powers then said that she doesn’t believe the president is weak.

O’Reilly asked Powers if she believes the world’s villains fear Obama.

“I don’t think they fear anybody, I think they’re crazy,” Powers answered.

Obenshain couldn't match Powers on this one at all, nor could BillO, because in the end, Sally Kohn was right. Republicans' sudden love affair with Putin is less about Putin and more about how much they hate Obama.

Oh, and Bill? I'm pretty sure Sally doesn't bite. You could have actually invited her on the show to defend her own words, but she would have done an even better job than Kirsten Powers did.
