Rush Limbaugh: 12 Years A Slave Won Because 'It Had The Magic Word In The Title'

Why do any radio stations continue to pollute the airways with the ranting of this clown?

Oscar night is a big deal in America because people love to watch the show no matter how long or boring it is, and last night's ratings were excellent. It even beat The Walking Dead in the all important 18-49 demographic.

Ellen DeGeneres and Lupita Nyong'o took down some very powerful zombies last night as the Oscars telecast beat The Walking Dead among adults 18-49, a feat that the Winter Olympics did not manage. Sunday's installment of The Walking Dead earned a 6.4 adults 18-49 rating, down from last week's 6.6, compared to The Oscars 12.0 adults 18-49 rating in the hour, per Deadline. That means, The Oscars outperformed The Walking Dead by 87 percent in the demo. Of course, a 6.4 adults 18-49 rating is still gigantic, and will make The Walking Dead the week's top scripted program by a large margin.

So when Luke Russert complains that he's a young person who's bored to death over it, just ignore him. But it's also a night that riles up the conservative talkers to no end.

Rush Limbaugh made a fool of himself by criticizing 12 years A Slave for winning the Oscar for best picture without actually seeing it. Well, why would he bother to see a good movie that depicts the horrors of slavery based on a true story, since he'd probably be cheering on the character of Edwin Epps.

He made his usual racist claims about Hollywood, but really he was transferring his words and talking about himself.

Limbaugh: It was an entirely, but very subtle political night. It always is. Everything to the left is political....pats on the back...and how important they all are...how compassionate, giving...caring...uhhhh....all of those adjectives they reserve exclusively for themselves and their goodness and their kindness and their decency..and all of that.

There was no demonstrative political preaching from anybody, even....not anybody, zip, zero, nada.

If that movie didn't win, there's no way that movie was not going to win. If it was the only thing that movie won, it was going to win best picture. There was no way. It didn't matter if it was good or bad. I haven't seen it. It was going to win. It had the magic word in the title,"Slave."

Because he's a conservative and is still confronted with all the racism that comes out of the mouths of conservatives, including his own, Limbaugh needs to try and diminish the word "slave" any way he can.

But every time he does it, he only makes himself look like a babbling baboon.
