Thom Hartmann took libertarianism to task on his show recently, and the most interesting highlight was a soundbite he played from Alan Greenspan, where Greenspan admitted the the whole notion of “counterpart surveillance,” a foundational economic idea of libertarianism, doesn’t work.

Hartman begins with a brief history of libertarianism, and then touches on Alan Greenspan’s mentor, Ayn Rand.
