I was up really late as I usually am last week and as I was flipping through the TV channels, I noticed a rerun from "Welcome Back Kotter." When I turned it on, the theme song was playing and it instantly reminded me of how cool John Sebastian's song was. I was a teenager when the show was running so I don't remember much about it, but it's the type of series that I've never forgotten the characters that inhabited it like Vinnie Barbarino, Arnold Horshack, Freddie 'Boom Boom' Washington, Juan Epstein, Mr. & Mrs. Kotter and of course, Mr. Woodman. And it's the theme song that helped burn those characters into my brain.
