CBS' NFL Analyst: Adrian Peterson's Violent Actions Were 'Brutal' And 'Sickness'
September 14, 2014

CBS Sports' Boomer Esiason lowered the boom on Adrian Peterson this morning on The NFL Today and described what the star running back did to his four year old son as "brutal" and "a "sickness." Peterson was indicted on child abuse charges after he admitted to giving his son a “whooping” of fourteen lashes with a branch from a tree after he didn't like the way his son was playing with another child.

Esiason: Now the case of Adrian Peterson I'll tell you. You know what the next best step is? That guy should never be on the field again and I don't want to hear about how he grew up what he learned. This was a whipping of a four year old boy for god's sake and all I'm telling you right now is that is sickness to me. That player should never be on the football field again until he is held accountable. Either by a court of law or he seeks the help that you speak of. So I'm sorry, I sit here today just in total utter amazement of the brutality have brought to the victims in their life.

I'm not a fan of Boomer's politics at all, but he's right on in this situation and said what so many NFL commentators have refused to say. What Peterson did was cruel and abusive to his son of four and he should not be playing again until the conditions of his punishment have been fulfilled.
