Music lost a very talented man in Ikey Owens today. His virtuosic skill at keys spanned over multiple genres and instruments. He played them all: an array of synths, electric pianos, organs, and more. Performers like this are rare, that is, those who not only understand the technique required to play several different instruments, but also the technical aspects of them all.
In wake of this tragic news, Jack White has opted to cancel the rest of his shows in Mexico for this tour.
Rest in peace, Ikey. You will be missed.
