It must be hell to be Darrell Issa today. Here's Trey Gowdy holding Benghazi! hearings behind closed doors, and what's a former Chairman supposed to do if not sneak in and get the skinny and maybe "help" the new chairman along.

Maybe Ginni Thomas sent him over for a little intel gathering, since she and her pals were so instrumental in getting the committee in the first place.

Instead, Issa got booted right on out.

Issa marched into the closed-door deposition and remained inside for about a minute before he was escorted out by the panel’s chairman, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.).

The pair briefly exchanged hushed words in a nearby hallway before Issa stormed off, throwing an empty soda can into a nearby trash bin.

Gowdy returned to the private session after the incident.

“Sorry about that,” he said as he went back in.

Gowdy brushed off a question about the interruption during a brief break in the proceedings later on Tuesday.

"You'll have to ask Chairman Issa," he said.

No leaks to Fox News today, Rep. Issa. Just go back to your corner and wait like a good boy. They'll come soon enough.
