It was announced earlier in the year that Gorillaz would be returning this year, but, now, they've confirmed that a new album will be in the works starting in September. This is pretty exciting news, to say the least. Over the past year or so, Albarn put out his first solo album, got back together with Blur and released their first new album in 12 years, and performed a 5-hour-long set at the Rokslide festival until he was finally carried off by security. All that in mind, Albarn's been a pretty busy guy. However, now he and Gorillaz artist Jamie Hewlett have decided that it's time to turn their attention back to the animated music project. Can't wait to hear what kind of new material will be coming from them next year!
