Thursday morning, reporter Karen Tumulty tweeted this, based on a photo she took from what was apparently backstage looking toward the stage where Hillary Clinton was either scheduled to appear or had appeared.

Karen Murphy was in attendance and she tweeted this video later in the day. Same place, same balcony, same bunting. But lots and lots of people.

Nick Merrill then tweeted this video from Milwaukee.

Unfortunately, by then the narrative had taken hold, and the replies to Tumulty's tweet were what you might expect. Replies like this:

Mission accomplished.

If you are a Bernie Sanders supporter, you should object to this kind of bias, because it will happen to him, too. Same for O'Malley supporters. The only difference will be that the attacks will be on their politics, not their gender.

Just in case you thought the sexism was imagined.
