Did Donald Trump’s nose start growing during his interview on the Hannity show Wednesday night? It should have been.

Before Trump – who has made his campaign all about bigotry – got to boasting about being a unifier, he made some not-so-unifying remarks about his fellow Republicans.

Trump said about rival John Kasich, “He’s so far down in the polls, he’s embarrassed. …I think he’ll probably have to get out of the race.” Trump called Karl Rove “a loser” who “still thinks Mitt Romney won the election” and “doesn’t know what he’s doing.”

Sean Hannity was too worried that Trump might run as a third party candidate – and help ensure a Democratic win – to care about attacks on Republicans or anyone else.

“The establishment’s gonna spend millions and millions now” trying to defeat Trump, Hannity said. He asked, “Are you considering going third party?”

Trump certainly was up for making thinly-veiled threats. “It wasn’t the deal that I made. I made a deal, I made a pledge and they’re not treating me right. …We’ll see what happens but right now I’m very happy where I am,” Trump said.

Hannity pressed the RNC's case for them. He said that Rove and other money groups going after Trump are not part of the RNC. “So are you gonna hold Reince [Priebus, RNC chair] and the RNC responsible and threaten to go third party even though he’s not involved?” Hannity asked.

“I’m just gonna look at it,” Trump said. “There should be some semblance of order within the party.”

“How far in are you gonna go on an ad war if millions and millions are being spent against you?” Hannity asked.

After a round of boasting, Trump finally said, “I’m gonna spend whatever I have to spend.”

And then came the moment of unintentional hilarity.

TRUMP: We can take this next election but we have to be smart and we have to be smart and we do have to be unified. You know, I’m a unifier, believe it or not. A lot of people would say I’m not. I’m a great unifier. I get along with people.

Sure you do. When your goons are not beating them up or "just" threatening them, that is. Hispanics hate you. Most Americans dislike you, too. In fact, Trump is the candidate Americans think would be most likely to ruin Thanksgiving. At 46%, that’s as much as all the rest of candidates combined.

And for that, I am thankful.
