Well, the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame's voting committee named it 5 inductees. And, as usual, there's a lot of debate and speculation as to why some of the acts that got voted in were recognized while other important acts still haven't been.

It basically boils down to what the directors think can sell tickets to event and pull in viewers to the HBO special. It has a lot lot to do with commerce and very little to do with artistry, innovation, attitude or really just full on rock-n-roll. That's the only reason why I can figure that the MC5, one of the forefathers of punk rock, heavy metal, grunge, noise rock and many more sub genres we could name, haven't been put in yet.

For that reason alone (though there are many other examples I know we can all site) the place seems more like a Rock-n-Roll Hall Of Lame than anything else.

What are you listening to tonight?
