Turning Points is the Philadelphia organization that, last year, needed suitcases and knapsacks for the foster children they serve. You guys really came through.
This year, they are slightly more ambitious:
Each holiday season, Turning Points works with individuals, corporations and community partners to collect gifts, pajamas and books for children who need it most.
Last year, donors like you provided gifts to over 1,000 children. This year, the need is even greater. Turning Points has 3,100 children participating in various programs and we intend to give each child a new pair of pajamas, a book and a toy for the holidays. Your help will make a difference.
The children who will receive gifts from Brighter Holidays are some of the neediest children in Philadelphia. We hope that you will give these children Brighter Futures in 2015.
DONATE GIFTS FOR BOYS AND GIRLS
Brighter Holidays is a toy drive for 3,100 of Philadelphia's neediest kids -- the children we serve at Turning Points. That’s a lot of smiling faces. We are trying to get pajamas, a gift and a book for every child on our list.
- If you like shopping online, you can find the wishlist on Amazon.

VOLUNTEER
Our wrapping parties are a lot of fun. Join other volunteers from December 5th to 12th. Come with your family or co-workers -- groups are encouraged! To volunteer, please contact Monika at mkreidie@tp4c.org or 215-901-5111.
MAKE A FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION
You can create Brighter Futures by supporting programs that serve our families. Your donations create a lot of success stories, including this one recently in the Philadelphia Inquirer. It's easy to donate through our secure website. Your gift will be applied to where it is needed most.
I recently learned that a young woman I know (who's now an attorney) was in the system as a child, and she said how much a toy she received meant to her as she carried it from home to home. Here's your chance to make that kind of difference.
Philadelphia has the nation's largest deep poverty rate -- 50% or less of the federal poverty rate. Your contribution will mean a lot to kids who have very little. Please give what you can.
