Donald Drumpf's spokeswoman called Paul Ryan 'unfit to be Speaker' after Ryan refused to endorse the Lord of the Republican Party.
Speaking to CNN this morning, Pierson made it abundantly clear that Her Lord has absolutely no intention of bowing to the third most powerful leader in the country -- Paul Ryan.
Trump spokesperson and occasional wearer of bullet necklaces Katrina Pierson sat down for an interview with CNN’s John Berman on New Day Friday morning and had some harsh words for House Speaker Paul Ryan, who is facing a barrage of criticism from conservatives for his unwillingness to formally support his party’s presumptive nominee.
Yesterday, Paul Ryan admitted that while he was proud of the democratic voice and process expressed by the people of his party, there was still more work to be done before he was fully on board with Donald Trump representing the GOP.
Pierson admitted Friday that Ryan’s unwillingness to unite the party behind the people’s candidate indicates that he “isn’t fit to be Speaker.”
“If the Speaker of the House doesn’t come around to supporting the Republican nominee, so you think Paul Ryan is still fit to be Speaker?” prodded Berman, which admittedly teed up Pierson’s response.
“No, because this is about the party,” she followed. “We were told to hold our noses and vote for the sake of the party,” she continued, indicating that in previous elections conservatives were largely encouraged to follow the winning candidates.
“These same people are now telling us that because their guy didn’t win, they want to hurt the party,” said Pierson. “If you can’t hold yourself to the standard that you’re holding everyone else, the problem is with you.”
It's so weird to hear Pierson pretend Donald Trump is any kind of True Conservative. He's a fascist, he's a dictator, and he resembles Mussolini, but he's hardly a True Conservative, unless all conservatives are ridiculous demagogues.
