Embattled New Jersey Governor Chris Christie had another very bad, terribly, horrible blow to his political life after his pal, Donald Trump passed him over as his vice presidential choice.

Christie's approval ratings have sunk to all time lows from his constituents and with many in his cabinet pleading guilty in the BridgeGate scandal, the mangled apricot hell beast was his last best hope of salvation.

The Weekly Standard reported:

New Jersey governor Chris Christie was reportedly enraged he didn't earn the VP spot, according to a top Trump campaign official.

While minding my own business at the Starbucks inside the Westin hotel this morning, I saw a man engage Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort in conversation about the VP selection process. The man, whom I couldn't identify, suggested that Pence was a smart pick and Gingrich would've been a disaster.

"Christie was livid, right?" the man said at one point. "Yeah," Manafort replied.

Poor, baby. How does it feel to be treated like an insignificant wanker?

Now you know it feels to treat people like crap, just like you've done to teachers and many others in the state of New Jersey.

Digby sez:

He's speaking at the convention but they're not calling him a headliner like Rubio and Cruz. Of course he didn't get very many votes in the primary either. His main accomplishment was caving early and kissing Trump's ring. It didn't work out for him.

He'll forever be remember as the Governor who, bowed down, licked the boots and kissed Donald Trump's ring before fetching him his lunch.
