During a rally in Lakeland, Fla. on Wednesday, Donald Trump mocked the NFL and their players for being too soft when it comes to brain injuries. He said, "Concussion, oh! Oh! Got a little ding on the head. No, no, you can’t play for the rest of the season. Our people are tough!”

During Trump's outdoor rally, a woman fainted and then returned to the event after receiving medical attention. Trump praised her toughness and weirdly decided to attack NFL players for being "p***ies" after they suffer extreme head traumas.

Trump said, "That woman was out cold, and now she’s coming back. See, we don’t go by these new and very-much softer NFL rules. Concussion, oh! Oh! Got a little ding on the head. No, no, you can’t play for the rest of the season. Our people are tough!”

NFL players didn't take kindly to Trump's moronic words.

“Let him get hit like that one time,” Giants tight end Larry Donnell told the Daily News Thursday, almost two weeks after suffering a concussion that forced him to sit out Sunday’s loss to the Packers. “He won’t be on that microphone talking after that.”

“Guys who go out there and risk their lives and play for greater things, just to say some foolishness like that, man, it’s not right. For someone who (could be) one of the presidents someday, it’s not right. It’s kind of sickening, honestly.

As the LA Times noted, "The NFL settled a lawsuit over head injuries to former players for $1 billion in 2015. In April, a league executive acknowledged for the first time a link between football and chronic traumatic encephalopathy."

In April a new report came out saying 40% of former NFL players suffer from brain injuries.

In Sept, 2015, a study found that out of 100 deceased NFL players, 95% of them had CTE.

During Friday morning's broadcast of the Boomer and Carton show, radio personality Jerry Recco called Trump "stupid" for his brain injuries remarks.

Recco said, "What is he doing?"

Boomer replied sarcastically, "I don't know, his people are tough. What can I tell you."

Recco replied, "He's stupid."

On that issue I think we all can concur.
