Ron Reagan on Hardball, points out to Chris Matthews that Newt Gingrich's sexual history isn't just gross, he thinks sexual assault is "sex."
October 28, 2016

On last night's Hardball, a visibly embarrassed Chris Matthews asked Ron Reagan why the Republican Party was all of a SUDDEN so awful toward women. After all, Ron Reagan's dad just loved Margaret Thatcher!

Who, according to Donald Trump, wouldn't even be a two.

Of course, Chris Matthews forgot to mention unequal pay, forced ultrasounds, and "legitimate rape," but I digress.

Ron Reagan was happy to take the few minutes he had in this segment to review Newt Gingrich's marital and extra-marital history. Three wives, demands for an "open marriage," you know, Newt Gingrich.

And then Reagan said something profound:

Worse than that, really, [Gingrich] conflates the two issues of sexual harassment, sexual assault, and sex, which is a mistake you see Republicans making all the time when they discuss this. This, to them, is somehow sex, when you grab a woman's genitals against her will, you're having sex, as far as Newt is concerned.

Exactly. Trump and Gingrich and the old "locker room boys club" doesn't see women as human beings, but sex objects, so "grabbing" them is sex. The criminality of that grows out of their intense immaturity. And the woman-majority electorate has had it with boys-pretending-to-be-men governing their paychecks, reproductive rights, and societal standing. Women have rejected that Republican misogyny forever, and good riddance.
