Guess who else met with Russians? Oh, just the bald headed, rambling, doesn't need a lawyer because he won't ever listen to them, buffoon - Carter Page, the former foreign policy adviser to Donald Trump’s election campaign. And oh, they weren't just "any" Russians. They were actual Russian government officials.
The New York Times reports that Page told the House intel committee that he met with them on a trip to Russia in July of 2016.
Oh, and even better - Page testified that he emailed a Trump campaign aide about the meetings after the fact. You know, informing them of who he met, what was discussed, etc.
The New York Times contacted Page for their article and while he did acknowledge the meetings, he said the following:
“I had a very brief hello to a couple of people. That was it.”
Oh, he also said that one of the Russian government officials he met with was a "senior person: but refused to reveal the person's identity.
It will be interesting to see who is on the email chain from July 2016. Who did Page get approval for this meeting prior? Who did he report to afterwards? What was discussed or handed over? This was during the time of the email release as well, remember. Was that discussed?
Eventually, the Trump campaign will deny ever knowing Carter Page, too. Still, the “Coffee boy” title is already taken.
