After news broke late Saturday about Mueller's team obtaining tens of thousands of emails from the Trump Transition team, the "Fire Mueller" drum beats got considerably louder. Why are they panicking if they (a) handed everything over to Mueller's team and (b) if they did nothing wrong to begin with?
Well, I suspect they (a) didn't hand everything over and (b) they definitely did something wrong. So yeah, they are panicked, so say the least.
What is Congress doing? I mean, Republicans in Congress? Calling for Mueller to step down/be investigated/be arrested. Ok, not the third option (yet).
In this video clip, former Chief White House Ethics Lawyer under George W. Bush really tore this entire "Mueller got the emails illegally" argument to shreds. What Painter thinks should really happen is a full investigation of Republicans in Congress who are putting up such a stink. Are they dirty too? Are they involved with illegal contributions to other members of Congress?
