By now, everyone has heard about the new-and-improved gossipy Trump tell-all, Team of Vipers, amiright (available at where’er your local bookstores happens to be)? We might have mentioned it before?

Anyway, it seems that the author Clifford Sims is suing Comrade Trump!

“Sims, the former White House communications aide who wrote an insider account of life working for President Trump, is suing the president in his official capacity, alleging that he used his campaign organization as a ‘cutout’ to improperly seek retribution against former employees and keep them from invoking their First Amendment rights.”

Comrade Trump’s campaign organization filed an arbitration claim against Sims accusing him of violating the nondisclosure agreement he signed with it during the 2016 Goat Rodeo, and this seems to be the fulcrum of the matter. It seems that the Sharks, er, attorneys have wanted a high-profile case to test the validity of these NDAs and now they have a case:

“Attorney Bradley P. Moss, who specializes in national security issues, tweeted in response, “The President just confirmed there is a non-disclosure agreement. Aside from SF-312 for classified information, any other non-disclosure agreement for federal employees is unconstitutional. Go ahead, Mr. President. Sue him. Do it. I dare you.” An SF-312 is a non-disclosure agreement for federal employees who have access to classified information.

“His colleague Mark S. Zaid added, “We would handle any litigation effort by Trump as pro bono. We stand by our word.”

And we note that Mr. Zaid is indeed counsel for Mr. Sims!

“Mark Zaid, Sims’ attorney, argues in the lawsuit, “The U.S. Government is intentionally and unconstitutionally engaging in a subterfuge effort to use a private entity, Donald J. Trump for President, Inc., to do its bidding to silence Mr. Sims when it is really the intense powers of the Presidency coming down upon a sole individual.”

“The lawsuit requests a court ruling that Trump “may not enforce, whether directly or through non-U.S. Government cutouts, any nondisclosure agreements that seek to unconstitutionally infringe upon his First Amendment rights.”

I am not a YUGE fan of Maggie Haberman, but she cuts right to the heart of the matter:

So, you see, it is another case of Prznint Stupid trying to take away his Merde-A-Lardo beautiful chocolate cake and eat it too. This will be a case to watch, as allegedly everyone who worked on his 2016 Goat Rodeo Campaign has signed such a disclosure. Imagine the information and stories might come out if Sims wins?
