Shep Smith On Fox News: 'I Don’t Know How Some People Sleep At Night'

Smith said he stuck around as long as he could on Fox News so that another opinion person couldn't replace him, but then it became too much and he left.

Former Fox News host Shepard Smith blasted his former employer and their hosts for spreading misinformation and ejected the truth for opinion based on lies during an interview with Christiane Amanpour.

Smith said he stuck around as long as he could on Fox News so that another opinion person couldn't replace him, but then it became too much and he left.

Smith, as we've meticulously documented over the years on C&L was a vocal proponent for the truth and was constantly at odds with the Trump administration and his surrogates. During his tenure he never let a surrogate like Kellyanne Conway on his show.

Smith made this astute observation, “If you’re going to opine, begin with the truth and opine from there.”

Exactly. Even here, where we do a lot of opinion, we start with the facts.

Smith then took aim and many of the nighttime slate of carnival barkers on Fox.

I slept very well. I don’t know how some people sleep at night. Because I know there are a lot of people who propagated the lies and have pushed them forward over and over again, who are smart enough and educated enough to know better.

Smith continued, "I hope at some point, those who have done us harm as a nation and, I might even add as a world, will look around and realize what they’ve done. But I’m not holding my breath."

Neither are we.

Fox News hosts, like the morons from Fox and Friends, Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham, and Sean Hannity all lie for profit.

The country is reeling from the assault on our democracy, bogus claims of voter fraud, and the attack on the U.S. Capitol. Fox News is as responsible for it as those who desecrated our nation with their treasonous actions.
