Since Fox News has pretty much ditched former President Donald Trump, I guess they needed someone to fawn over. Former Vice President Mike Pence has been making the rounds to hawk his new book, so he was interviewed on Fox News's Outnumbered on Wednesday. Host Ainsley Earhardt embarrassed herself by heaping praise on the former vice president.

They discussed how Pence will decide whether to throw his hat in the 2024 ring and challenge his former boss -- you know, the guy that wanted him dead.

Ainsely wanted to know how Pence knew whether God was calling on him to do the job.

"But how do you know? I want to ask you a question about your faith because we share the same faith," she asked. "But how do you know that that is God calling you? Because everywhere you go, people love you. How, even Democrats love you because you're just a nice, wholesome, good person who does the right thing. And you're honest. You're honest."

"But they might not like your politics, but they like who you are and your character," she continued. "So how do you decipher if they're just saying, I like you or we really want you to run? I mean, when you're a politician, obviously, I'm not a politician. I've never been through that. So how do you know that that's your calling or if that's what you're supposed to do?"

Pence replied by, of course, mentioning his book a couple of times. He added, "But I also believe that people that I've been hearing from around the country want to see us get back to the kind of civility and respect that the American people show one another every day."

First of all, Democrats do not love Pence. Just stop that. We didn't like that bigot before he tied himself to Donald J. Trump, and we sure don't like him now that he has the stink of his former boss all over him. And if he were so concerned about civility, he wouldn't have participated in the most toxic, divisive, and cruel administration in U.S. history, but you be you, Mike.
