Texas Rep. Ronny Jackson appeared on Newsmax and inadvertently highlighted how deep into the cult Trump supporters are. After President Joe Biden's people turned in classified documents discovered on his property, Republicans demanded that the Department of Justice take action. The problem with that is that Attorney General Merrick Garland already did.
Garland named attorney Robert Hur, a Trump appointee, as special counsel to investigate whether Biden improperly handled classified documents.
But Jackson called him part of the deep state, even though Trump appointed him. He disparaged Hur for working for Rod Rosenstein, but he is another Trump appointee. Jackson blasted Hur for working for FBI Director Christopher Wray -- who Trump appointed. "And God knows I don't trust that guy," he said of Wray.
"These are people that are part of the deep state," Jackson said of the Trump appointees. He added that he's "not willing to give this guy the benefit of the doubt."
All of those people were appointed by former President Donald Trump. Nothing will make these people happy. Trump lashed out about Hur this morning, too. They'll only be happy if someone like Gym Shorts Jordan is named to look into Biden's handling of the documents.
We've seen zero Democrats upset that Biden is being investigated, but we've seen a fuckton of Republicans trying to cover for Trump. I wonder why that is.
