Rep. Barry Moore revealed his tone-deaf idea as he visited a gun shop in his district to unveil legislation making the AR-15 the "National Gun of America." Republicans love to play into voters' fear and paranoia. And the AR is a favorite for mass shooters. Moore knows that already.

"The anti-Second Amendment group won't stop until they take away all your firearms," the Republican congressman said in a statement following his announcement of the legislation at the firearms store, according to AL.com. "One rule to remember: any government that would take away one right would take away them all."

"The Second Amendment is as American a right as freedom of speech, religion, and the press. Second Amendment rights are worth protecting and must not be infringed, and we must send a message that we will meet every attack on any of our constitutional rights," Moore continued.

Sonny Parker, owner of Family Firearms, thanked Moore for his Second Amendment stance and the bill.

"Every day we are battling those in Washington trying to take away our Second Amendment rights," Parker said. "We're extremely thankful for men like Congressman Barry Moore who are willing to go to war for us, stand up for our Second Amendment rights and battle those who continue to take those away from us."

These people are ghouls. As I write this, there is a report of an active shooter at Boulder High School. Children are being slaughtered, and the grownups that should be protecting them are worried that someone will take their guns, melt them down, then dress them up like little girls.
