President Joe Biden knows why some Republicans don't want to raise the debt ceiling. It's because MAGA Republicans want to hurt his chances of reelection, and they would throw the economy into an apocalyptic scenario to do it. You know it's true.
"I think there are some MAGA Republicans in the House who know the damage that it would do to the economy," Biden said.
"And because I am president, and presidents are responsible for everything, Biden would take the blame," he added. "And that's the one way to make sure Biden's not re-elected."
He's not wrong. Former President Donald Trump took to his flailing Truth Social platform this week to signal to Republicans not to raise the debt ceiling. We've never had a President before with a blatant hatred of our country, but he would gladly watch our economy suffer simply because his narcissistic brain can't get over his 2020 loss.
Trump doesn't pay his bills, but we are the strongest country in the world, and we're going to pay what we owe, and some of those debts occurred on the former President's watch.
Republicans voted to lift the debt ceiling without spending cuts while Trump was in office, but they're demanding harsh spending cuts with Biden in office.
They'll do anything to hurt Biden's reelection chances, even if it means shitting all over the United States.
