Speaker McCarthy offered up another moronic defense for Trump's theft of classified and top secret documents at Mar-A-Lago.
A reporter asked if Trump had embarrassed himself.
"Was that a good look for the former president to have boxes in a bathroom?"
"I don't know," McCarthy said. "Is it a good picture to have boxes in a garage that opens up all the time? A bathroom door locks."
I kid you not.
Rep. Jamie Raskin almost laughed hysterically on CNN when asked to respond.
"Well, it's the first I've seen that particular defense, but is he suggesting that these boxes of classified documents got up and locked the door after people left the bathroom?" Raskin said. "I'm not quite sure I follow the logic of it."
McCarthy's reaction was not logical, except if you're in a cult.
Soon McCarthy will demand that the all top secret US documents must be stored at Mar-A-Lago because they have the best locks in Florida.
