Senator Ron Johnson went on a Gish gallop in an effort to somehow twist the facts in order to blame President Biden for TFG being indicted:

Talk about precedent breaking. President Ford decided it was best for America not to pursue prosecution against President Nixon. President Trump pretty much made the same decision not to pursue any prosecution of Hillary Clinton. You know that Joe Biden could have made the same exact decision, but he didn't. He allowed a SWAT raid on the very secure residence of President Trump.

Ford pardoned Nixon only after Nixon resigned from office. In other words, the necessary result had already happened and their was nothing to be gained by further prosecution.

Hillary Clinton still went through hours and hours of interrogation and inquisition from the Republicans. But even after all that, the Republicans couldn't find anything to seek further prosecution.

It should be noted that whatever documents that Clinton had - or even Biden for that matter - were turned over immediately. The difference is Trump chose to try to conceal the documents form investigators.

Obviously, RoJo and the other Republicans are desperate to spin Trump's indictments any way they can so soften the damage done leading up to next year's elections. But RoJo is probably extra motivated because he wants to get in on Trump's promised pardon-o-rama for his roles in both the insurrection and the fake electors.
