Former President Donald Trump has claimed on several occasions that he won Man of the Year in Michigan, even though no such award exists in the state. Trump received the Oakland County Republican Party's "Man of the Decade" award Sunday night, though this appears to be the first time. He claimed that he won it twice.
These things are very important to Lumpy, and he's mad that Fox News didn't report on the award that most people probably have never heard of. I know I haven't.
"So Fox News, which is down 37% in the Ratings, doesn't cover my getting the "Man of the Decade" Award (because of my great trade policies!) in Michigan, or my Keynote Speech for Faith & Freedom in D.C., and then wants me to show up and get them ratings for their "Presidential" Debate, where I'm leading the field by 40 points," the one-term President breathlessly wrote on his struggling Truth Social platform. "All they do is promote, against all hope, Ron DeSanctimonious, and he's dropping like a rock. Sorry FoxNews, life doesn't work that way!!!"
Ahem. Via Fox News:
Former President Donald Trump was honored as the Man of the Decade in a Michigan county he lost twice as he returned to the state looking to reclaim territory that helped propel him to the White House but that slipped from his grasp four years later.
Campaigning for a return to the presidency while facing a federal indictment for allegedly mishandling classified documents, Trump spoke on Sunday in suburban Detroit, where he lost ground between 2016 and 2020 and would need to win it back if he becomes the 2024 Republican nominee. He would have to reverse the recent trend in Michigan that has seen Democrats make some of their biggest gains nationally since Trump's reelection loss.
The outlet noted, "In November, the statewide candidates he backed were overwhelmingly defeated, including Tudor Dixon, who lost by more than 10 percentage points to Whitmer."
Ouch.
Fox News adds that Trump's popularity since 2016 in the state has taken a hit. We realize that the petty petulant wannabe potentate wanted Fox to report his huge win on the air, but they did report it. He's just mad because his supporters aren't known for being avid bibliophiles. They prefer pictures.
