I'm not sure how many more times Trump has to do this before our useless corporate media starts paying attention to it and opining over it as much as Biden's age.
Most of the media has decided not to air Trump's cult rallies, which is a double edged sword.
Trump made an appearance on Dayton, Ohio this Saturday, and he opened his speech with a salute to the January 6th insurrectionists, calling them "patriots."
Trump, who was in Ohio for a campaign stop at the Buckeye Values PAC rally, honored and thanked the participants of the deadly siege on the U.S. Capitol.
"Please rise for the horribly and unfairly treated January 6 hostages," an announcer said. Trump then saluted and the crowd stood as the "J6 Hostages' Song," a rendition of the National Anthem, played. The song, "Justice for All" by the J6 Prison Choir, features the voice of Trump reciting the pledge of allegiance.
Journalist Aaron Rupar shared a video of the moment to X, formerly Twitter, where it quickly amassed 200,000 views and more than 170 comments on Saturday.
Trump then opened his speech by thanking the rioters and calling them "unbelievable patriots."
"Thank you very much, and you see the spirit from the hostages, and that's what they are—hostages," he said.
Let's just imagine Joe Biden opening up a rally "saluting" Antifa and what the press reaction would be. You can bet it would not be the collective snore we'll see yet again, after yet another insane weekend of unhinged nonsense from Trump.
On one hand, not putting his endless lies on the air keeps him polluting our so-called "news" channels with no fact-checking, which is a good thing. On the other hand, it insulates the public from the weekly horror show and the fact that Trump looks like a deranged nut for most of the time that's he's ranting endlessly at these MAGA cult-fests.
Personally, I'd be all-in for airing them as long as everyone in the country was forced to sit there like Malcolm McDowell in A Clockwork Orange, until the majority of Americans finally howled to make it stop and never wanted to hear the sound of Trump's voice again for as long as they lived.
