Republicans are smearing El-Sayed as a socialist because he's Muslim. He's a capitalist. But socialism isn't evil either.
August 12, 2026

Ronna McDaniel has not lost any of her right-wing propaganda chops. On Tuesday she proved that by making five false claims about El-Sayed's campaign and platform in under sixty seconds.

Republicans are freaking out over Trump's poll numbers and their chances in the 2026 midterms so they are pulling out all the stops, served with a plateful of lies and racism.

On a Fox News "Countdown to the Midterms" segment, former RNC chief Ronna McDaniel claimed people don't know what socialism is. Listening to her speak, neither does she.

Host Sandra Smith asked McDaniel if the few Democratic socialists who won their primaries was a gift to the GOP.

"Is this all a gift to Republicans, though?" she asked.

"Yes, he's a socialist," McDaniel replied. "He's a communist. But just saying those words, kids don't know what that means."

It would help her cause if Ronna knew what they mean too, since Socialism and Communism are two different ideologies. Socialism is a social construct; communism is economic.

Which one is El-Sayed, nitwit?

El-Sayed is an avowed capitalist. "In fact, if you are a capitalist, you should believe in that. So, I’m a capitalist who just knows about capitalism," he said in a recent interview.

MCDANIEL: So you have to say he's going to take he's going to raise your taxes.

He just admitted he's going to raise taxes on everybody.

That's a lie. A very bad lie. El-Sayed has promised to raise taxes on everyone making a million dollars a year or more. In Ronna's world, everyone she knows must be a millionaire, I guess.

MCDANIEL: He's going to take away your health care. You're going to lose that opportunity to pick your doctor.

Liar!

Medicare for all means healthcare for all.

MCDANIEL: We have to define what they're what they're talking about and not just call them a socialist. I think that's what a lot of Republicans are falling on.

The problem is she doesn't know how to define either one of them.

Since El-Sayed is a Muslim, Republicans must believe that constituents will believe he's a socialist if they say so. It's just another way to "other" them.

Racism sells for Republicans.

What a sad fucking bunch of liars.
