Responding to a Wall Street Journal article that said the Iran war could last until 2029, US Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz claimed that the time frame is in line with Trump's strategy and the United States.
The WSJ reported, "Top White House advisers have raised privately with President Trump the prospect that the Iran war could drag on through the remainder of his term, U.S. officials said, a message at odds with Trump’s public assurances of a swift victory."
Waltz joined CNN to discuss a few topics and host Dana Bash asked if that time frame met up with his expectations and is that what he believes to be the case.
"The Wall Street Journal reports the president's top advisors are warning that the Iran war could continue through the remainder of the president's term," Bash said. "We're talking 2029. Is that what you think?"
"Well, I think the time with the president's strategy and Operation Economic Fury is on the president's and on the United States' side," Waltz bizarrely replied.
Trump has stated multiple times that the war actually ended months ago. Has refused to call it a war since the bombs flew and now he's claiming it will end after the midterms.
How does almost two and half more years sink up with that?
Waltz tried to put lipstick on the pig by highlighting some progress they've made including claiming Scott Bessent has hurt the Iranian currency and the US has been stifling Iranian oil flow.
As he continued speaking gibberish, Bash interrupted.
"When you say, so you said time is on our side, that means that yes, it could keep going till 2029?" she asked.
"I don't, I wouldn't necessarily put a timeline on it," Waltz said.
But a minute ago he just did say it could go to 2029. Up is down, left is right and two months is two years.
Trump officials can't get their lies straight when called out on them because they go on so many Fox News and Newsmax segments.
They don't receive any kind of pushback on the lies they tell, so when questioned, they get befuddled..
This is why Trump is banning media outlets that don't conform to his rules.
