Trump reverses course by saying his Super PAC will pay for his ads moving forward, but raises more questions in the process.

The Rancid Kumquat has done a complete about-face and said that he will have his Super PAC pay for his ads, which he previously used tax dollars for, but he won't reimburse the government for the money he already spent on them:

"The Radical Left is upset with the fact that I am taking Ads, which I consider to be a positive promotion for our Great U.S.A., and paying for them with U.S.A. money," the president wrote on Truth Social. "This is a rather standard thing to do but, rather than doing that, although nothing will make them happy, I have decided to do the Patriotic Ads, among others, and pay for them myself, and with money I raised for MAGA, Inc."

A White House official said Tuesday morning that the president's post was not referring to reimbursing the federal government for ads that have already been purchased. Mr. Trump said Tuesday that "the ads were really good" when asked about the change and whether he would reimburse the government.

In other words, he's tacitly admitting that he stole taxpayer money for his own gain, but he won't pay us back the money that was already stolen and used for his self-promotion.

But now Trump could have more problems than just using public money for personal gain. By saying that he would use money he "raised for MAGA, Inc.," he is implying that he is coordinating with his Super PAC, which is also illegal. Not only that, but Trump is opening the door to having his big donors give him tons of money, which would compromise him even further.

While in the grand scheme of things, this is not one of the most major actions of corruption that Trump has committed, it is often the small things that trip these crooks up in the end.

Q: Why did you change your minds, sir, on the taxpayer-funded ads and will you reimburse the government for the millions of dollars you already spent?

TRUMP: The ads were really good. They were promotion for the country. Ahhhhhh. Done by many presidents before, so we'll decide.
