Of all people, I was surprised to see Nathan Fielder at the helm of this documentary.
Fielder's comedy is an acquired taste, but its brilliance is not debatable.
Comedian and filmmaker Nathan Fielder has spent years exploring those same questions with his shows Nathan For You and The Rehearsal, but with his jaw-dropping feature debut You Can See Everything, he’s once again defied audiences’ expectations around what nonfiction can be.
Co-directed by Primetime helmer Lance Oppenheim and filmed by a small crew squeezed into various rental homes and offices, You Can See Everything begins as an unorthodox project to document Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes before she leaves her husband, Billy Evans, and their two kids to serve her federal prison sentence for defrauding investors.
Open thread.
